Being a newb to wfp I rescheduled it
So just how ok is it to work a wfp in hi winds?

depends on the flex in your pole and really more how strong you are. If the wind is that dramatic and your not comfortable, it was a good idea to move the job to another day.
what pole are you using?
I would worry the wind would blow dust onto the windows before it dries. Guess you would have to see what happens.
