My hopes and thoughts go out to those in Oklahoma who were affected by the killer tornado.
Would you work dureing a tornado watch?
Pax
Tragedy what happened. My prayers are with them. But I dont know, I live in Ohio and we dont really get anything too terrible weather wise. Seeing the damage they cause I would have to guess no.
If there is a for tornado watch likely it’s raining pretty good so no we don’t work.
We are working today but people are definitely focused on the tragedy just a few miles to the south
The Tornado Watch, all by itself if it wasn’t raining also, would not be enough to cause a lot of concern. They are fairly common in the mid-west and just mean ‘stay alert and be ready’. Tornado Warnings are different. Then you get near your shelter with no messing around.
Same here in NJ. During the summer we get the watches every week or 2, warnings every once or twice a month.
Out yesterday till 4 pm… All during the weather expected. Lightning,Hail and the Tornado watch… Always keeping a heads up though. Be smart and safe. Know when it’s time to head home… Skies told me that Tho i’m not in OKC A Little rain but still finished… This morning tho is a wash… Raining now… Off to do a Est
Worked all day during the tornado watch yesterday. Once I heard on the radio how bad it was getting, I headed home.

Things okay with you?? Know it’s a pretty hairy storm tonight for OKC. 35 & 40 are shut down. And news said 2 for sure dead on interstate. Sucked out of car. With 4 others possible. News didn’t give much more than maybe two tornadoes. With a rotation going just above Moore plus heavy rain. Hope you fared okay this evening… Last night a Touch down about 8 miles away from me EF 2… Not so much so far this evening for me. Just a little rain and thunder…
Cheers John
crazy stuff
California has not had a ‘real’ earthquake that gets you out of bed and out the front door since 2000 . . . no earthquake watches or warnings for those at all
well wishes for any recovering from those tornadoes . . . I just can’t even begin to imagine that experience
Hey John, things were pretty rough but fortunately they were not as rough where we live. I got little to no sleep because of hail, thunder and wind.
thanks for asking
Hey Jared,
Well glad to hear you only lost a little bit of sleep. That you and yours are safe
Hey your a fellow WC and you live in the hotspot of tornado alley… OKC seems to like have a bulls-eye on it in tornado alley. We want to know. If people we know are safe and sound and doing okay. And it’s good to know someone was thinking of how we are
You can catch that up easy. But i sure do understand that There is def nothing like heavy rain, lots of thunder, lightning. And hearing massive pieces of hail hit your house… In 08 had almost baseball size hit my house… Trashed the roof!! total replacement (cedar shake roof). Gutters and pool equipment. Not to mention the glass sun-room!!! OK is sure not like my home state of Idaho… You def find out just what hail, high winds, heavy rain can do. Let alone adding a EF-2 to Ef-5 tornado into the mix…
Are you closer to Norman? Or nw side of okc turnpike where 44 turnpike turns south ??
Get some rest!!
John
I hope no one is ever up a ladder during an earthquake.
