You’re wrong. The main ingredient in Simple Green is TSP. TSP is in laundry soap too. Its a great degreaser. They put a very diluted amount of TSP in it. TSP is also a food additive. By diluting the hell out of it and adding things like citric acid, they made it more earth friendly. The bottle even says, Contains some phosphates. Tri-phosphates was left out intentionally so people wouldn’t wig out.
Sorry but your wrong…again. It would appear that the main ingredient in Simple Green is water 78% followed by the chemicals listed below at approx 5% each with the exception of the Sodium Citrate and Fragrance Colorant that are both approx 1%
There is a difference between phosphates and Tri sodium phosphates. Just because a product lists phosphates as an ingredient it doesn’t mean it has TSP. Because of government regulations if a product includes TSP it must be listed.
Yesterday it was 104 degrees and I was out there cleaning away with my TSP. No negative side effects what so ever. You are just a couple of hours North of me and know how brutal summers can be for a window cleaner, especially when the windows bake in the sun for a few hours. I have used TSP since 1994 and I have never had a problem with it…heck I even love to use the stuff. Just another perspective here!
I understand Ray. However I have used the stuff and it was hard on my hands. I have other reasons also as to why I won’t use the stuff but no need to go into it again.
Your absolutely right, you never want to over do it , like a full cup of TSP in a gallon of water can get a little bit crazy ! Just like anything it should be used with the proper amount .
As I pointed out before, if one was to drink 5 gallons of pure clean water in 1 hour it would kill you, but water is a necessary element for the body to function and is needed everyday with 8 to 10 glasses a day, along with oxygen - 2 to 3 tablespoons of tsp to 2 to 3 gallons of water ! In this amout it works very effectively cleaning all kinds of dirt and grease , cigarette smoke and more …
You could use milk / orange juice / coffee / beer etc in your solution, and as long as you agitate and squeegee properly, the windows with still shine as well as they do with TSP, Dawn, GG4 whatever
The simple fact of the matter is its not what you use, its how you use it
