I have a dodge truck. I really want a van, or transit type vehicle. Nothing wrong with a truck but I need more room for storage.

The Ferrari dealership makes your van look GOOD! Used to drive by it all the time… I miss Seattle!

Perfect thread, I have been thinking a lot about “vehicles” this winter - as my Nissan Xterra is slowly dying and kinda looks dumpy with a big ol dent in the side (previous owner)

After considering vans, cars, trucks etc. When we finally upgrade I have decided we will be looking for a quad cab truck, room for my kids and wife when not working. Then I’ll be saving for an enclosed trailer to pull with my resi tools.

I went from a pick up to a van, and the van is a game changer . Not having to unload an re load is such a relief especially after a 95 degree day hazy hot an humid, then ya have to come home an unload . Also having everything ya need in there not having to think in the morning what an I forgetting

I can’t wait to get into a van

Something like this?

We have an F150 and 10ft cargo trailer. Love the amount of space for equipment and supplies and the size of the billboard. It works great for us in our area as there is always plenty of parking, however, if our customers lived in a more congested area, this setup would not make sense and I would want a cargo van. The trailer costs us 2-3mpg for fuel consumption, but it is not like the truck is super effiecient to begin with. Here is a link to some pics from a couple years ago. The interior of the trailer has had a few additions/reconfigurations since they were taken. http://windowcleaner.com/vBulletin/residential-window-cleaning/22688-trailer-setup.html

Almost… I was looking at a green one with flames though

Everything comes in time I waited years to buy it and I bought it a year earlier than maybe I should of , but I sure do enjoy working out it .

This year I hope to put enough money aside to get myself into a van for next season. In the past I have worked out of vans and having everything at my disposal was crucial not only while on the job but before work and after work. No unloading and loading the vehicle for the day, just gotta step it up this year.

Nice. They will think you charge too much

Had a Nissan Frontier 4cyl and it was just too small. I was in a Sedan then a year later to my Nissan and in 1 year if was too small. I do WC, roofs pw and gutter cleaning…graffiti removal just to name a few. I just got a used chevy 1500 express and it was the BEST decision for my equip. I mounted my own 4 stage pure water system and it’s amazing how great having the van is. Tip: before choosing a work vehicle make SURE you know common problems with that vehicle. If it’s used the owner might not inform you. Google it and find out PROBLEMS not PROS.

Ended up getting an astro, found a great deal on one privately. Cant wait to put the ladder rack, shelves, vinyl and get everything organized.

Any suggestion for the vinyl? How about the rear window washer arm being worked into a image of a window cleaner and that is his arm that squeegees the rear window :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey Shawn, just wondering if you are able to fit your pressure washer and roof cleaning equipment in the van too (including tanks)?

Actually no I can’t my wfp , pw, ladder and traditional stuff as well as my 20’ surface cleaner just fit so no room for a huge tank , battery and pump and hose reel. I have a small RC trailer. Also I need the trailer for tank feeding for pw.

Oh and a hose reel inside van for 200’ of pw hose too. It’s packed!

SNS Thanks for the replay Shawn. That helps a lot. It’s hard to figure out an ideal vehicle situation with the more services you offer.

Be careful getting into Vans with stranger…you never know whats going to happen!
