TV show windows

Hey Guys anybody watch American Chopper on Discovery channel?
I was watching it the other day and me and my wife noticed all the windows they have at that OCC shop. Looks like all the front is a wall of glass.
Anybody here clean them or knows who does? It would be cool to do them while they are filming the show.

One time my wife was watching one of those shows with all the kids…can’t remember the name…but they had a nasty divorce, and they had a company powerwashing their house and I think they would also clean windows.

I doubt they’re paying anyone to clean those windows since they were in foreclosure on that property last I knew. I have asked before if anyone cleaned windows on movie or tv sets. Never really got a good answer.

In my experience, the last person they want to see in the shot is the window cleaner.

I seen that building in person ( don’t live to far from there). It is like a side of a mountian made of glass. thats a good question. Dr Squeege may know. Maybe if he reads this he will chime in.

Ive a couple restaurant clients that need their windows done only when theyre planning to shoot one of the many Quebecoise sitcoms that they produce here. They would kill me if I ended up trying to get in a shot. The film crew wouldn`t even set up while I was there in case I damaged anything or I was blocking a shot or lighting.

I was watching this show a couple years back and I believe it was either the Hogans or it was a Deon Sanders show (i was flipping pretty quick) and they were filming them in the living room and right behind him u seen their window cleaner come up and started cleaning with a pole…
My grandfather had this building in the 80’s and my uncle and crew were cleaning and they wanted to do a movie shoot but they wanted them to move their ropes and cables out of the background so they had to put job on hold for a day…just a story i heard him tell once…

Yea thats Dr Squeegees territory for sure… We have occasionally done a few places right by there… Quite a few window cleaners in that area.

I cleaned for entourage (also done the director’s place), a Toyota commercial, the studio of hpy ft and other kids movies, and a I’m the regular window cleaner at a talk show host’s house. Last time he had me clean cuz they were gonna do a show at his house.

First time I worked for a film crew and gave them a quote (like $300 for eight hours of work, this was years ago), one of the members of the crew came up to me and said that when I work for Hollywood, I gotta hike up that price. He said it was way too low…I remember on that same job I tripped over the camera track. Embarrassing!

In this town you see filming all the time. I was cleaning a gallery on melrose and across the street there was a whole bunch of people watching two girls walk down the street being filmed. They must have walked down that sidewalk 15 times before wrapping.

I was cleaning at another gallery and felt someone watching me so I looked back and literally saw steve marti… looking at my swirl technique.
