We are getting ready for our community Business Expo and have no idea what direction to go in… We thought about doing a drawing where people give us their business cards and the winner gets tickets to a Sounder’s game. We want something really creative but have no idea what direction to go in with window cleaning. Any ideas? Past business expo experiences? Thanks!
Who is attending?
I had a booth at a cooking show recently with mostly women there and I gave away a Kindle.
A Kindle, huh? That’s an interesting idea… It’s hosted by the local Chambers of Commerce and anyone can attend, from local business owners to local clientele.
Can you make it competitive like have a window waking competition amongst spectators? Who can wash and dry the fastest, cleanest glass, name that tool, etc.
IWS, I love the idea of a competition. I think that could really drive people to our booth. Thanks for the tip!
you could definitely do a Kindle giveaway. I gave away the most inexpensive iPad last Spring at a Home and Garden Show. Collected a couple hundred email addresses and drew a winner on the last day. Kindle would probably be better for you, since you won’t have that many addresses.
I put all the addresses on a mailchimp list (separate from my regular customer/prospect lists) and sent them targeted offers a few days later, then a few weeks later, and then again in the fall. Made my money back and then some.
