Use of window bucket

For years I have used the window bucket as an all purpose bucket (not for gutter debris). Examples in the last month I’ve had window cleaning soap, gutter zap, believe, simple green all in the bucket at seperate times.

I would think the main concern would be if we/I dripped inside a clients home the different chemicals might not clean up as well. Yes I clean the bucket out, rinse, wipe rinse wipe, but I can’t say it is chemically free.

Not a big deal, but it has been bouncing around in my head to ask for awhile now.

Your thoughts?

I really don’t see the problem as long as it is rinsed thoroughly. I have a separate 5gal bucket that I use for gutters and another that I use for gutter zap and any other chems that I may use. I use my window bucket for window cleaning only so I never gave it much thought.

Last week I popped in on my guys and they were on the ladders cleaning gutters into there tool boxes because they were 2 out of 3 buckets shy. Dameged and forgotten.

I think it is a concern and it is valid, you can get a bucket for free or a couple bucks. Keep a couple on you if you can…

Thanks for your 2 cents.

fwiw. You can almost always find a bucket in donut shop dumpsters.

Pickle buckets are quite plentiful in restaurants. Ask politely and you will be awarded. (Used to bartend for years)

I went on a 3 day whitewater canoe trip with friends years ago. We used 5 gallon pickle buckets we picked up at White Castle as our waterproof containers for our gear. Given none of us had any whitewater canoeing experience, we spent a lot of time swimming the rapids. Each night we would set up camp by the river, and had nice dry sleeping bags, tents and clothes, which was nice…but Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, everything smelled like pickels
