Hi, would vehicle TFR be ok to use on pvc windows or would it be too much and damage the pvc or glass? I know you can get window cleaning TFR but vehicle TFR is easier to get hold of please give me advice greatly appreciated
No one is answering, so I will. What the heck do you mean, TFR?
Same here
TSP?
Tri Sodium Phosphate?
TFR is traffic film remover I thought this was for window cleaners? TFR is an acid you can water down the usually use it on car wheels to get rid of brake dust but you can also but it for window cleaning but no one on here seems to know what it is
No. TFR traffic film remover
So why would you be using it on windows? If you are looking for normal soap uses, use the search function and you will find an exhaustive amount on the subject.
I’ve just said you can get similar stuff especially for Windows but it’s ok I’ll speak to someone who knows about window cleaning
People who know about window cleaning don’t use car wash soap on windows.
… and I GUARANTEE that you googled “Tri Sodium Phosphate” when I mentioned it.
Do none of you read? I never said it was car wash soap. I said it’s an acid that people use on car wheels to get brake dust off but you can also get it for window cleaning alot of window cleaners use TFR but no one here seems to know what it is
No I didnt as that’s not what im looking for
tfr traffic film remover is not a common thing in north america in fact i have never found it available here. the english window cleaning forums have lots of info it is common there.
overall there is lots of good info/help her but often people don’t read and often are arrogant/rude. sorry bout that. welcome to the wcr.
Ok … no one here knows about window cleaning let us know what the window cleaner says , when you find one. I’m very curious !
I’ll let you know as soon as I find out the only reason I ask is because I don’t want staining on the window frames if it’s too strong to use especially on a customers house I did think I’d get an answer on here but it’s been a bit of a let down if I’m honest
Please come back after you have done your research and share your " wisdom " with us.
I am sure we will be anxiously waiting. Maybe then I will learn something about window cleaning. god I feel stupid !
tsp is not “designed” for window cleaning but was a staple for many for decades
dawn dishsoap (any dish soap) is not designed for window cleaning.
dawn instructions from their site include a good rinse!
even glass gleam was an accidental discovery for cleaning glass (according to one of their reps)
ettore’s original squeegee was an adaptation of a floor squeegee.
most of the products designed for window cleaning are not used by window cleaners, windex, invisible glass etc
microfibre cloths were not designed for window cleaning specifically and neither were chamois or scrims or surgical cloths.
I never said tsp lol
