Thanks for sharing that vid
Great video John - often thought about doing that - except twice the ergonomics. But I know that having the windows that dirty it’s worth to do them twice. And funnily watching that, I realised I make the same noises!
That is just pure water in the sprayer?
yes, another great vid- you really know your stuff John.
looks like you have to work at quite a pace for your boss-be careful you dont burn yourself out fellah.
Thanks John, that does make sense on dirty glass. Your solution will last alot longer. I appreciate your help.
No problem guys ! like i said before i know how hard this job is LONG TERM…we all have to help each other !
Regarding the pump sprayer. i would strongly recommend this for guys who do high quality Residential… It does work and it does make … sense.
A window sill for example one wipe of your cloth and not only is your cloth black your water in your bucket also. gg4 used in direct hot sun on dirty windows can leave streaks if your not careful, depends on what type window. not only does the sprayer cover a surface quickly it pre soaks the frames . where there is dirt and poop etc. this greatly improves the speed and quality of the frame washing.
Yes Karlos . i tend to breathe strangely LOL cracked up here…after all i have only one Lung ( just kidding )
Hi i use pure water for Frenchies… i wash them down quick with soap quickly squeegee off quickly then i soakk the frenchie with pure water on mist setting quickly… i do not scrub or wipe the glass i just wipe my blade and do straight pulls pulling off the mist of pure water ( get my jist ? ) this leaves the glass perfect. its much quicker and much less energy to pull a trigger on a Pump bottle than it is to wash with a applicator !
Hi Johnny i normally work at a stable pace , flowing so to say… but there i was making a video. because the situation was perfect (a hot sun ) and not all customers react so diplomatically when they know your making a video of there house, for different reasons…so i was doing it very hastily !
but i tend to work hard and fast… thats just the way it is… but my system is spot on for the demands of the German residential owner. but all in all most German customers are very grateful and generous with there money and words + coffee, water, tips , cakes , bread rolls. old shoes old shirts etc

Hey Johnny, Love watching your videos. I enjoy watching other masters of the trade. I don’t know why but it always makes me want to go clean windows.lol. Its like when you used to play football and you watch a game and you can smell the grass and mud and sweat just sitting there. Great job!
I also found with the pump-up sprayer that I was getting over-spray on other windows & having somewhere on my belt was a bind, too small & the liquid ran out/refilling etc. Too big, & I was pumping more often. Did you ever buy & use that small auto sprayer John?
KArl i never get problems with over spray because i point the sprayer where it needs to be pointed… plus any spray that does hit other glass will dissolve clear because its Pure. ( and i use tap water quite often… its pure more frenchys ) thats not an issue …i point it away from the other glass. in the video this was a sliding door and one window was set back from the other… just point away from the cleaner glass at an angle
ill make a video of my system karl… in it you will see that i have two buckets. one on a stand with the water… here i wash 6 - 10 microfiber cloths well wrung out and clean i throw these 10 clean cloths into a dry smallish oblong bucket along with my bottle of solution and sprayer . i then carry this dry bucket to clean the home of the resid…using this system you focus and get into a flow and have no slopping water anywhere as if when you use just one cloth etc…plus you dont lose focus by consistently going to your bucket back and forth.
I dont know if you do more commercial or resi Karl ? my set up is for both commercial and 99% resid… i only use the bucket of water system if i have really caked windows on the Ground floor outside *** … a lot of my homes have 2,3 and four floors . its only the ground floor and if its really caked i take the bucket of water… because most german homes have several water taps strategically placed around the house for watering the garden etc. Which means i can change water quickly … when something really caked you need to throw a tidal wave on there to break it all down … pollen poop cob webs and dirt etc
Not only does a sprayer serve as a pre wash it also wets down your glass with " CLEAN WATER " !!! to add water for the washing. when needed. like i said its easier to pull a trigger on a sprayer than log a heavy bucket of water around which is in most cases dirty water…
Jesus i always end up writing a story :-). this is why i make videos its easier to explain…if i have a large resi…on the ground floor outside and there caked and there are say 30 windows i will pull out my WFP Back pack and use that
Get my drift ?
I dropped the sprayer idea before because of the constant pumping & the dilemma where to keep it. But if I find that auto sprayer, I may give it another crack. I am about 50/50 commercial/residential now, which is the way I like it. Before I kept away from commercial due to the lowballers but I’m finding it helps out through the winter & is good for exposure.
I’m sort of divided for the 36"er to scrub down first or have another crack at the sprayer. Of course on clean glass you’ll probably just use the Wagtail anyway?
how much do charge for resi karl ? or whats the average price for a one family house ?
theres a lot of wealthy germans in majorca . now if you could just speak German
write on your flyers " Fensterputzen ( einschießlich Rahmenwasche nach Hausfrauenart )" as well
i would stick with the 36 " er mate
Window cleaning with frame cleaning house wives style
Hi John,
I used to work in Germany - doing a little Gerüstbau, so I have to speak some to get by. And yes, it’s written on my workshop sign in Spanish/German/English. I have a lot of German clients & used to service the old German Royal Family house here. I also clean for many very very famous Germans, I think you can guess.
Excellent Karl… " your the man "…i guess it has its ups and downs working and living in Hot weather . but i guess all in all your happy with your situation…
Thats very true many famous German Tv personalities and simil… have bought holiday homes on MAjorca…
And you know all about a " Ballerman " then . where the germans go on a huge drinking binge for one week ( or three )
Regarding the sprayer… you know whats best for you but it is an excellent tool for adding extra water for washing… what you saw in the vid is on mist setting. if you turn then nozzle slightly and its on full pump … you can really add and cover the window 3 times as quick as a water bottle… but each to there own . job price plays a role here…
Bloody hot in Germany today around 30- 34 ° where i was working today . ( did a medical supply firm ) new building no one there . just me another WC… we had the key to the place …( long term cust…)
Just for you John… Liegen reservieren - 7 Tipps für den Platz an der Sonne - YouTube
We have a Ballerman 6 bar here in Mallorca - where you’d mistake it for the Brits on vacation!
Oktoberfest starts here next week!
I’ll see if I can get that 2L auto-sprayer & have another crack.
" Alles Klar Kommissar "
If you mean that one that is sold on GArdiner poles web site or similar i doubt very much that it would spray as quick / more pressure as with the pump…
But if it does please let me know . what i have is 3 Bar ( 43 PSI )…
I bet you have seen some sights there. !!
Let us know if you do happen to buy the auto sprayer how it works out
Karl Thanks John…
You mean something like this Karl… its not 12 V but delivers 14 refills of 5L… yes i know 5L is too big for you
