Vinyl Windows

I’m running into more vinyl windows than I have in past. They are a window treatment used to extend usability of three season porches. I use a manufactured recomended cleaner and polish to clean these. Two questions regarding vinyl windows. The manufacturer recommended cleaning stuff - cleaner and then a polish - is way expensive. What are some alternatives. Second, for the first time I’ve come across water spots that will not come off with the manufacturer recommended cleaning stuff. How do I get these spots off?

Eric

Hire a professional window cleaner who knows what he/she is doing.

I think you’re talking about the panes being vinyl - yes? I have done some of these windows and I use my regular GG4 solution and a huck. Wet the huck and wipe down the panes. Then use a dry huck and buff any wet areas. Works well.

for the water spotting, try a product called safe restore or try using the powder th
You are so drunk!

You shouldn’t be able to post to start with. If you’re going to help someone , be my guest, but you just keep trashing threads with that childish-non-sense crap. Go get a life DI hater.

By the way, is nice to see you around again Eric.

Ok MR Tough guy…

Tony,
I’d be careful with a dry huck on the vinyl, they can scratch the vinyl.

You could check with a marina or boat supply shop and they should have cleaner for the vinyl boat windows. Not sure if they are cheaper than the manufacture recomended one.

I had a guy who has had a porch with that stuff for many years and he said the expensive stuff you are talking about works pretty well for him- and that is all he would ever use on them. I do the other windows in his house and wouldn’t touch those things with a 10 foot pole-of course I do this for recreation not a profession. I wouldn’t worry about the water spots.

Have you had this happen? I think I read that Larry uses his wfp or boars hair brush on these, right or wrong, Larry?

Yes but i think that they were poor quality or just plexi.

I hate plexi. That stuff scratches in a stiff breeze.

Hogshair.

I’ve had a wfp brush scratch solar vinyl (yeah - I know - applied to the outside). The scrim made a mark as well.

Charge the customer enough to cover your chemicals. You must not be charging enough.

I LOVE THE SMELL OF DI WATER IN THE MORNING!

The question was, “How do I get these spots off?

IIACZKO: There were two questions! WAKE UP AND PAY ATTENTION!

Yeah Mike you tell him. That Larry guy needs to pay more attention. Get with the plan Chimp man

You referenced the full post, but only answered one question (I can see that now.)

Perhaps if you spent less time with the caps lock button and more time editing the quote, your post would be clear and concise.

BTW, stop yelling.
