I’m running into more vinyl windows than I have in past. They are a window treatment used to extend usability of three season porches. I use a manufactured recomended cleaner and polish to clean these. Two questions regarding vinyl windows. The manufacturer recommended cleaning stuff - cleaner and then a polish - is way expensive. What are some alternatives. Second, for the first time I’ve come across water spots that will not come off with the manufacturer recommended cleaning stuff. How do I get these spots off?
I think you’re talking about the panes being vinyl - yes? I have done some of these windows and I use my regular GG4 solution and a huck. Wet the huck and wipe down the panes. Then use a dry huck and buff any wet areas. Works well.
You shouldn’t be able to post to start with. If you’re going to help someone , be my guest, but you just keep trashing threads with that childish-non-sense crap. Go get a life DI hater.
You could check with a marina or boat supply shop and they should have cleaner for the vinyl boat windows. Not sure if they are cheaper than the manufacture recomended one.
I had a guy who has had a porch with that stuff for many years and he said the expensive stuff you are talking about works pretty well for him- and that is all he would ever use on them. I do the other windows in his house and wouldn’t touch those things with a 10 foot pole-of course I do this for recreation not a profession. I wouldn’t worry about the water spots.
