Washer Sleeves

Hello there forum!

So I’ve used ettore golden glove and they don’t retain water at all the water just drips like crazy, and I haven’t noticed any special ability of it’s use.

On the other hand ungers microfiber sleeve retains water great and is awesome for inside windows but doesn’t have a very good scrubbing ability.

So my question is do you guys use specific sleeves for specific jobs?

I noticed this guy on how to video was using ettore porcupine and was pretty excited about it but last time this guy was advertising unger pill and that turned out to be a huge waste of money.

Also i noticed ungers tiger sleeve, but it costs $30 , does anybody has anything good to say about this sleeve ?

Thanks Guys, and Gals in advance!

The porcupine sucks! It dosent hold water at all and really has no more scrubing power then the golden glove. The micro tiger has been awesome for me. It hold lots of water and has great scrubing power.

MicroTiger Microfiber. Abrasive strips line the strip washer. Will not scratch glass. Great for commercial windows. By Pulex $10.50 here on wcr

I use Pulex standard microfiber and Micro Tiger sleeves. Both are great sleeves. I also use the Ettore microfiber sleeve and it is awesome as well.

I use an *** brand sleeve that I really like (bought long before WCR , no offense) and it holds good water. IT’s the “soaker light” and it holds lots of water. My favorite, although, is the Unger “micro strip”. It holds decent solution and has an abrasive scrub end that works OK.

I also use others, but I like those the best.

The Monsoon is the one I use the most, best water retention IMHO, but little scrubbing power. I want to get a Wiljer’s Blue Devil to use over the monsoon, but WCR does not carry that item and I don’t want to buy anywhere else. I think that combo is killer

Mr. Robinson states that the Porcupine is awesome when used with GG4 as a pre-scrub prior to WFP use.

Yeah the Porcupine really sucks- it dont really scrub at all! I am gonna be getting the Monsoon.

And I stand by it. I like the Pulex Tiger with the Wiljer sleeve in the hottest months when water holding capacity is crucial. Come winter, you’ll all be saying how great the porcupine sleeve is - don’t sweat it.

pulex red n white microtiger is ACE !! ., but the blue n white one is pants- dont EVER buy that loser even if it looks nice

Microtiger is my favorite as well. Not enormous scrubbing power, but the best balance I’ve found to water retention and scrubbing. Probably not good to use on tinted windows, though.
I rarely use the porcupine because it doesn’t hold much water.
For regularly cleaned accounts with larger windows I use an 18" microfiber, it’s blue (can’t remember the brand off-hand, definitely not Unger, yuck.). It holds a “ton” of water.

If it’s blue then it’s probably Pulex, Steccone, or Ettore.

I like the Pulex Micro Tiger sleeves for exterior work and the regular (blue) Pulex sleeves for interior work. You can’t beat 'em.

red tiger sleeve and ettore microfiber are great. The porcupine does not hold water but works great on greasy finger prints. Ive used it on accounts where other sleeves with just gg and water would not get them off and it took them right off with out having to use a scrob pad or razor.

microtigers are awesome. Mine just gave out after 3 months. Jbrasive sleeve to try it out. Bad azz. We do mostly residential, dirty , dirty windows. Working great!

Yeah, the Micro Tiger is not the most durable sleeve out there. The velcro fasteners are a bummer as they wear out pretty quickly. The sleeve itself holds up pretty well for me. It’s just those cheezy velcro fasteners that suck.

It’s still my favorite all around sleeve for most exterior work.

yeah the velcro sucks. Thust got have brass snaps. I just want to wait and see how long they hold up. They have a scrubbing stip across the whole middle of one side. Saved me tons of time this weekend

I used the Unger version like that and have to say I was disappointed by how little water they held.

Couldn’t have said it better myself…

eve all day today no problems , although I rinse my washer pretty often , after every 3-4 windows.
