Does a water bar use a lot more water ?
yes
Depends on the number of holes and the size. When I first started experimenting I found that, in theory 4x 2mm Jets used no less water than a bar with 10-12 1mm holes BUT the bar, in conjunction with a swivel , over a full job used less water because of efficiency and spread and depth of rinse. You were on and off the glass quicker.
The current fetish for having 26-32 holes in a bar on a 12” brush, plus centre and/or end jets activated means larger diameter pole hoses, pressure, and pumps need to be cranked up to give effective flow and flush on the glass and so yes water usage is increased substantially. …
And now I see ABC has jumped on the bandwagon and is offering a double rinse bar, top and bottom. Pfft, total overkill.
I did this 5 years ago
