This is 1.0. go get one a take a look for yourself. I’ve got pockets sewn into the front and back of hoodie now that they go in so all one piece. That was best pic of elements and battery.

I know, Just giving you a hard time. Thanks for sharing the idea and pic bro!

I’m just not all about paying $100 for something I can do for $10

That’s weird. I usually do it for $100 in parts to avoid paying $10.

That as well is my luck. The struggle is real.

Great clothing ideas! For clothes when it gets down to zero I dress in layers. I use Eskimo Mitts with the 100% waterproof black outer liners and the charcoal hotpacks. Between jobs I will pull out the “fleece” liners and invert the inner and outer liners. Then dry them on the windshield heater on the dash between jobs. I think WCR carries these. Say Chris and Alex if you do. Otherwise Walmart used to carry them. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/ht-enterprises-eskimo-polar-mitts?a=1878895&pm2d=CSE-SPG-15-PLA&utm_medium=PLA&utm_source=Google&utm_campaign=CI&gclid=CK-qqOCEidACFQQ0aQodPugE0g

Regarding an antifreeze for the bucket. I curse the blue windshield wash. The only reason it works at all is that it has methanol. But not much. I will buy the pure 100% methanol from a man that races cars. It is used as a racing fuel. I pay him five bux per gallon and use about 25 to 30 gallons in the winter. Here is a link to several different sources around the country. http://www.vpracingfuels.com/vp-drag-racing They should be able to tell you who buys the drums in your area. Then just go there get friendly with the guy and buy what you need from one of his drums. Methanol has a much better freeze curve than isopropanol (IPA). It is about the same as ethanol. But it doesn’t stink as bad as drinking alcohol, and is way less expensive. It is toxic so don’t beath it too deeply. I never use it inside. Also always wear gloves. I wear mittens. My hands get cold really fast now so I never use anything but mitts.

Hope this helps.

Methanol all the way, although windy days when it gets in your eyes… no fun. Also I hate wearing gloves when I hang so it dries out your hands somethin fierce…

Last winter was my first WC winter, and i was cleaning in -18 celsius. That was not good! Windshield fluid just smears out, that was to cold.
Have you use t röd ( what’s the English word for it) @JonathanB?
I just put it in a spray bottle and hang it on the bucket, then spray it on the applicator after I dunk it in the bucket.
Under -10 c it’s better to stay home i guess:slight_smile:

Lucky you :sunglasses:

Wear neoprene/ latex thin gloves brother! that stuff sinks in, your in that chair long hours!

My prediction is that we will have a lot of those cold day this winter. Last winter was perfect - but if we’re unlucky we will have a winter like it was mother Russia… And you know how it is - the customers are crazy about having clean windows to Christmas. More important then world peace :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Do you put it straight into the bucket?
I have been avoiding methanol just because it’s toxic. But you make me curious :grinning:
But it’s pretty hard to get it were I live.

Avoid short circuit… Can make a good hair day turn straight in to a bad hair day…

Haha. Yeah.
Last winter the cold came after new year, I think Christmas was almost the same temp like midsummer😄
Take care man.

Did I get it right? You have freezing protection in the bucket + in a spray bottle?

IF it not so cold, only in the bottle. Becuse the hole bucket wont freeze. IF its colder, in the bucket from stop it from freeze, then spray on the mop IF its still freeze on the glass.

The bottle its pure anti freeze. No soap or water

I buy 100% methanol. Then I will add it to the water/bucket at whatever concentration stops freezing on the glass. Usually that happens to be between 20 and 40 percent. Conditions vary however. Temp is only one. There is also sun, tint, wind, IG units, inside heated or not. Vestibule or not. Always use mitts to keep it off my skin. Any Canadian Window Cleaners on here?
