❄️... Water protect from freezing

Hi guys!

Winter times is coming. Time to freeze a little bit.

I’ve read older topics about how protect the water from freezing.

I’ve discussed with my employees about how to work this winter. Before we have always put windshield fluid in the bucket. The dose has depending of how could it have been.

But after reading the older topics I want to try a solution of isopropyl alcohol/ethanol. And maybe to put in a bottle with gg3 and Dawn and then put it directly to the strip washer instead of in the bucket.

What will you do this winter? What has been working best for you?

My bucket was for deicing my mop. I’d have a little bit of soap on the washer, wring out the water, and then use a squirt bottle to apply ww fluid directly. Saved me from washing a ton of fluid and worked really well.

I’d Rather sweat balls all summer in 120f then deal with cold winter days where your bucket will freeze. Cold days here are low sixties. :sunglasses:

It’s ok, I’ll be thinking of this thread come August when I’ve got to rewet a 4x6 storefront window three times.

Yeah that was pretty much my policy.

Now my policy is if I’m cold under my hoodie, it can wait.

Mehhhhhhh I don’t knowwwww. Haha okay, well here’s the deal. A car seat heater is 12v. I removed the heating elements from the cover, which left me with two 10"x14" super lightweight cloth. They are already wired with the carbon tape wire that produces heat. Now became the question, you can either power this by an 8cell AA battery pack, which I concluded was entirely too expensive. So instead I’m running three 18650 lithium ion batteries pushing just over 13v. Where you would usually plug the heater into your cigarette lighter I’ve secured positive wire to front of plug and ground to one side or other on prong. This way you prevent any malfunction of the pads and you keep the 10amp fuse on the plug. Secure these two pads to the inside of your hoodie. I made a bullet proof vest style that I throw over then put on my hoodie. Battery pack is in hoodie pocket. I’m sweating in five minutes. You can do this or pay $100 for the real deal… you decide. Hope yall enjoy!
