Wax for windows

Had a customer inquire about waxing there windows. Does anyone know where I can get wax for windows?:confused:

Do not look for wax for windows. There is some kind of window treatment that is supposed to repel hard water but that is definitely not wax.

Wax is the last thing in the world you would want to put on a window, so I don’t know what is meant by the word “wax”, although there use to be a product called “window wax” which no longer is sold. (It was not wax) It will remove clarity from the window and need to be removed. Wax has to be one of the most difficult things there is to remove from windows. It does not dissolve except possibly with a lot of heat applied. It must be scraped off of every inch of the window.

If they are old wood double hung windows she may be talking about waxing the sides so that the windows move easily. Never seen it but have had customers ask about it.
