Pleased to meet you.
I’m in Aurora, Co
How is it when you drive with with 50 gallons of water. I have a F150 and it’s been three years now and I have to change my leaf springs. I do have a 52 gallon water tank ( fill n go ). Your ass end must be sitting so low.
@Sylvain. I’m sure this made a huge difference for @RadiantGlassLLC
I have an Airlift kit in my Tacoma. The truck would be useless for my needs without it. It seems manufacturers don’t really expect people to do actual work with their vehicles anymore. Thankfully there’s a plethora of affordable aftermarket parts
I installed the Timbren suspension enhancement units, and it has made a noticeable difference for the van. The van used to sag a lil’ bit in the rear when the tank was full, but now the van always sits level. We have had the van loaded with a full tank of water, little giant ladder, and our commercial pressure washer, hoses, and surface cleaner, and it still sits level and rides really well : )
I do drive the van like a granny, so I imagine that has helped some, haha.
The tank is filled with perforated, flexible drainage pipe (cheap alternative to whiffle balls or baffle balls), so there is virtually no sloshing or rocking from the water in the tank either. It has been a really great setup for us!
Thank you
After outfitting the truck, the ass end dropped 3". Took it to a local leaf spring comp. who I have used with two other trucks and had them install additional springs. Huge improvement. Here is a pic before, after, and with equipment hanging out of the bed
It’s looks awesome. Are you not worry that people are gonna start thinking you’re making too much money having a truck like this…lol… i’m looking into getting a F-250 now and keeping the
F-150 for personal use only.
If you don’t mind me asking can you tell me how much it cost to get that extra leaf installed?
I think most of Art’s customers are already aware that he’s a baller . But if they saw inside his garage…
Just over $700 which included 2 additional leafs per side plus hardware.
Herd a lot of good things about the Timbrens also the sumo springs look like like something I’m going to look into. I have an F-250 that I’m carrying a lot of weight.
I know right !! That garage is insane.
Thank you, good to know
After a year and a half, I am finally having the truck wrapped. Will be dropping it off on August 15 and they plan on finishing it by Fri. the 19th. This is nothing like my other two designs with many more details being addressed both in and out of the design itself. I am tempted to throw up a teaser proof from the designer but that would take the anticipation out of it. Will try to have it completed to upload some pics on Sun. 8/21
Hey Guys,
Almost completed with the truck and waiting on a few things from the company who did the wrap. Here is a couple of pics but will show some others next weekend when finished. This has truly been my best of the three builds i have tackled with and my efficiency in working from it has never been better.
This thread reminds me: I need to raise my prices.
Haha yeah , we can learn a lot from a trade man’s prices by looking at his vehicles .
I used to own an S10 that I used for my vehicle. It was probably the best vehicle I have worked out of production wise. Everything was reachable from the ground and everything had a place. I would show up and be on the glass in minutes. Sometimes I miss working out of it.
Damn! Save some attention for the rest of us!
