Hey everyone. I’ve really been trying to work up a website lately that not only looks good but can actually preform. I know seo and ads is the big thing that will help it get found (still learning about those). But I wanted to run this edit past you all to see if it is a solid look and feel that will attract customers to take action once there on it. Thanks!
I like the overall clean look to it. Make your phone number larger. The photo on the first is page is of commercial work, is that the focus of your business, or what you want to mainly attract? If not change the photo. Most of the photos look like stock pics, I personally hate stock photos. Don’t show photos of buildings you haven’t actually worked on. If you don’t have a crew doing rope work, don’t show a photo of it. Those customer photos look stock ie: fake, which implies that their comments are also fake. Don’t use fake endorsements.
Design
• You would benefit from having a CTA button in your hero section. This way people can click to schedule their service right on the page load without needing to scroll.
• When you get a quote, you probably want things like the prospect address. This way even if they call you and decline your service, you can send them EDDM later on.
• You really should have a logo.
SEO
• In your URL slugs for about, services and contact, you have a dash and a number. You need to remove those because it hurts your seo. You don’t want those pages to try to rank for numbers.
• On your about page, the social media icons point to wix instead of your company social medias. You’re just helping legitimize wix instead of your company by linking to them.
• Each service you perform must have its own landing page. So you should have a page for window cleaning, gutter cleaning, construction cleanup etc. Right now when I click on services, and I try to tap any of your services, the card doesn’t take me anywhere. This is a missed opportunity to rank for important keywords.
• Link to your Google my business, yelp, nextdoor, angi list pages etc. This helps your SEO tremendously.
UI/UX
• Lose the italisized fonts. It takes away from the importance of what you are trying to say. The point of italics (like bold) is to emphasize a specific characteristic. For example your competitors use squeegees but you use water fed poles.
• Avoid using black as a background color. White text on a black background is more difficult to read. There are studies that show its just more difficult. Use a different, light, color like blue or green.
Who are you trying to get more of, residential or large commercial clients? It is a little confusing who you are trying to go after.
I think ‘fair prices guaranteed’ is an unprovable offer. I would try to give them something tangible such as “fair prices guaranteed or ELSE X”. X could be we’ll beat prices by 10%, we’ll throw in something extra, we’ll make sure you’re satisfied before leaving the job site, 30 days to get your money back, etc…
Usually when I see a website with an empty guarantee (satisfaction guaranteed with no additional wording) it means nothing to me. There’s no ‘bite’.
Hope this helps!
