Imma just leave this here…
Welp that went nowhere fast
i hope they win.
Video disabled. Was it about a waterfed pole from England?
Just click play on youtube guys
He’s coming to take our jobs!!! With 355 views in the first seven days I feel like my business is almost done for.
Also, it sucks that he’s playing in your backyard.
I think we are witnessing the actions of a company dropping off the map… always thought Reach It was over priced and over hyped… I tested a 55ft pole of theirs a couple years ago and it was junk. I will stick with gardiner & unger poles…
I humbly submit for your consideration:
Shawn I have a tucker pole… my employees call it the golden noodle and when a tech is too hard on one of our carbon fiber poles they are forced to work a day with the golden noodle… it is a great teaching tool…
But in all seriousness about reach it… who sells to window cleaners there over priced poles and then turns around and under cuts it very customers by selling direct to the property managers, residential clients and other prospects…
Ah yes. The old school aluminum.
Still sell a ton more of those than carbon fiber poles believe it or not.
I don’t believe that Perry and his son made a million dollars on their own. I think the customers and the supply companies played a huge hand in getting them to where they are and it’s unfortunate that they are saying F you guys, we can completely bypass you all together to make more money. Now I don’t think this is true. I don’t believe I have a single customer that would be even slightly interested in their product or the work involved when it comes to using it, so I’m not threatened necessary but I am disappointed.
the thought of some of my customers outside their house scrubbing second story windows with a pole makes me laugh. They are good people but there’s a reason they hire people like us to do things like this.
90% of the population could change the oil in their car or truck in 30 minutes or less if they wanted to, but hardly anyone does it.
Edit: 99.8% of all statistics are made up on the spot according to that song by Todd Snider.
nice Todd Snider reference.
Like my reach-it poles, can’t complain.
Not here to judge them. For me it seems to make sense for them to sell to janitoral people. Homeowners…more power to reach it if they can sell. Few examples.
- Life long neighbor won’t let me clean his gutters for free. This was back in 2010, middle Feb and just one gutter was spilling over. I was bored. This man is the type no one gets hired to work for. He does it all himself.
Same guy saw us using WFP the first time, made his own, yet had nothing to purify the water with. Did not turn out well.
- Local city Hall. Bid in 2010, lost, bid 2012 we got it. Learned the basically hired us to learn how to WFP. They had been trying themselves for years. However, as the building was built with “green” materials the chalk they used bleed constantly. We had to ladder most of it.
Same building went up for bid in 2016. Bid it based off the hours and the winner was 25% my cost and a masonry company.
Bottom line, none of us should fear this.
I accidentally liked this post so to clarify my thinking… why on earth would a guy purchase an aluminum pole over carbon fiber?
Come on people…
I liked this post on purpose!
