Try dish detergent. I’ve gotten all kinds of nasty greasy stuff in my brushes before, and enough attention with hot water and dish detergent always gets them clean. Sometimes it takes a while for the staining to go away, though.
Dont watse your time… get a new brush… and keep it just for windows.
use the now dirty one for other things…
I replace my window brush quite regularly.
You can get them at RHG.

Is that a pole break, or a clamp break?
I can see the overlap marking down lower - if you expose too much overlap marker, you have less overlap. It’s the overlap that makes the pole behave ‘as one’…
If there is insufficient overlap, there is too much stress on the clamp - and it breaks…
I hope that helps a little…

So this is a combo break. Earlier in the week I had 2 1/2 ft break off my middle section of pole (pole break) so to reach the full hight I needed to have about a half inch of the marker showing. This resulted in both the clamp breaking plus another 6 inches of the second section broke off.

I’m not sure the warranty you have, but feel free to mention 'if it were a Reach-iT, they would replace the section free of charge under the If-you-care-we-care-warranty and insurance.
