Wfp. With soap

Has any heard of using soap with your water fed pole. There is a guy in oz selling them he says u can leave the soap on the glass and it will dry spot free plus. It cleans much better the just put water by its self and leaves the glass nice and shining

i used to have the tucker setup with dual hose and a soap dispenser. i used it for awhile and then went away from the soap part of it. i never noticed much difference with or without. however, that was 10 years ago. i would find out more about the soap he’s using.

I think you can get good results pre scrubbing with ecover or GG4 - But I wouldnt recommend to much else.

Here is his website WWWCS - WWW Cleaning Supplies - Window Cleaning Supplies and Products - Australia - World Wide Window. He said he sould have them up on his website next week. They are just doing the final test on them now

Don’t do it with Dawn, thats the one downfall of the blue stuff.

On real dirty windows I do it. Sometimes I hook my wfp straight to garden hose and do a pre wash and rinse and then come and just rinse with pure water. On real dirty frames this seems to efficient at preserving pure water and preventing dirty runs.

But I use ecover and not very much.

soap ( Ecover is the best trust me !! ) with Wfp especially for high priced wfp or windows that are really dirty using Soap ( ecover ) is the only way IMO !! … explain to the cistomer your using plant based soap… they see the soap on the windows … it reminds them of a soapy car wash…they then have even more faith that the windows are being cleaned thoroughly … ecover is bloody good for Wfp… buy some wet your window down turn off withe aquadaptor apply some soap to the brush head … work it in turn water back on rinse off. hey presto …

Ps. buy some and experiment the best way to find out and gain experience is by doing it yourself trust me .

i use the soap mentioned “wash n rinse” from wwwcs all the time on commercial jobs
it works great.

Hi I take it u r from Melbourne. Do u use it with di/ro unit or just a di pure water unit. I live in wonthaggi. Our tds is up around 270 -300 so I am looking at getting di/ro pure water unit. What part of Melbourne r u from

Im near ferntree gully our tds is very low approx 35. I have a wwwcs maxpro 12 litre unit it
has done me well for over 5 years now. Mark builds his stuff to last, ive seen the new di/ro unit he’s putting together and
man it looks great and knowing Mark it’ll be bomb proof too.

We are starting to see the wisdom of using a little bit of soap on a pre-wash for first-time cleans. We have three WFPs now, so I set one up to use pure water and a little GG4 pulling from a backpack. The other pulls pure water from our tank on the trailer. The guys move in tandem around the house. First is washing with soap, then second following right behind with a little more scrubbing then rinsing with pure water. I may start using just regular old tap water in the backpack.

Although you would think this would take longer, it actually is faster because we don’t have to go back and do touch ups. We just finished a job last Thursday that experience told me would take 2 guys, 4 hours. They actually finished in 2:45. Homeowner was amazed at the end result and that we got it done so fast. (me too!) But if you use this method, be sure and flush your lines and tank of the soapy water or it’ll haunt you the next time you need to run just pure water.

Awesome great info!

There are some who would reason that using soap at all with di water is counterproductive. There was quite a discussion on this on one of the WC groups on Facebook. I personally use soap on a white pad when I feel it is necessary and have never had bad results. I never leave soap on the glass, though.

I carry some mixed up ecover in a bottle on my hip and squirt some on to the head of my WFP and then scrub the windows and then rinse, can usually scrub 1-2 window and then re-apply the ecover. I have had some really good results with this system on those windows that have baked on dirt that have not been cleaned for a few years! I have found that the pure water is some times not quite up to removing all the baked on dirt by itself and that you have to go back and hit it again, but not so with a pre scrub.

I’ve got a house in a couple of weeks that will be a great candidate for your technique. I’ll give it a try.

I posted about using ecover with wfp 2 years ago not many peeps took to the idea then but there are far more using it with wfp now! for first cleans it is brillant! regular cleaning just a small amount onto you brush and rinse with pure water gives excellent results!

How many windows by squirting some ecover on the brush?

Mark depends on how your cleaning your windows… obviously if your brush is on the glass for rinsing the soap will rinsed out / off… . so its brush head off then rinse water on glass . brush head on glass then scrub… brush head off then rinse… there should be enough soap there several windows… for higher stuff you will have to be creative for applying soap . like a reacharound for example …

forgot to mention all this with an aquadaptor of course or similar
