do you use the same prices for commercial and residential???
depends on the size of the pane and the amount present but generally from $40 per pane here upwards.
Holy ****!
+1
At those rates , I have one house I could retire on
25 per pane commercial, if its residential, depending how bad it is, I will throw it in for free. If I am applying the nanophase stuff, its 40 per pane commercial, 10 per pane residential.
alright thanks for the answers, what do you guys use? i have some glasstastic by the glass guru, havent used it yet will that do the trick? also will people really pay those prices, i cant see someone paying $500 for 20 panes of glass
v
I guess it depends on how $500 compares to buying new windows.
I charge double or triple what I charge them for the cleaning of the window. Crystal Clear 550 I believe is what I use.
$40 per pane seems very high. Not to be a smartass but how many of these people call you back?
We charge anywhere from $12 to $20 per pane and still come in around $125+ an hour.
We use a couple different powders. Glass-tech and ruboff. For the really bad stuff, winsol crystal clear 550. I do charge more when I have to break this out = $25ish
If it’s something safe restore will take off then around $10-$15 per pane. If it’s bad enough to get out the cerium oxide and buffer then it’s going to be $40+ per pane.
Thanks for asking, I was thinking the same question tonight as I was trying to clean some commercial windows. A whole bank of them are hard water and runoff stained.
Thanks again
It is amazing to see the price differences. I guess it is how much is your labor rate and how much will the market bare. I could not get 20 or 40 in my market.
I was researching cerium oxide for some real difficult glass doors for a customer next week I’m doing. But amazed what some of you guys charge for this tiring pain in the butt service. Hell just yesterday cleaning water marks on some windows I cleaned 15 french windows at $25 each plus 5 larger windows on the low back for $95 total hours on the job 4hrs made $850 maybe I just believe in myself more and won’t take crap for payment.
I charge $75 per hour on ground level and $100 per hour for high windows. If you have done the worst window on the job you’l know how long it will take.
