What are your frequency of cleanings?

That sucks!
But what a difference you make.

Do you offer any incentive for quarterly clean?

I haven’t tried that yet. Demand for WC is pretty low during the winter.

I am sure regions of the North have issues with part of the year. Here, Summer is vacation and renovation - Window Cleaner is the last person thought of.

Every first Monday, third Tuesday, etc. Once A month. I like having those extra two or three days for catch up, last minute residential, etc.

How many houses you doing in a day? Did some work for someone from the uk and they were telling me about this. Thought it was interesting.
What is a typical average price? I know there is an exchange and everything but just curious what it takes to make your days wages.

Here i would think that most guys are making their days wage at one or two jobs maybe three.

I don’t even know how normal people would afford it each month. Some people are quarterly but that’s just a few.

Once, or twice a year around here. A handful of quarterlies for exterior, or partial cleans.

Maybe @jonnyald can give you some insight how it works in the UK, @Trad-Man Im sure will chime in…

You can run a monthly exterior window cleaning route (residential) here in the states. You just have to position yourself in that mind set and set yourself up that way.

Pricing is the easy part its just getting the word out.

generally speaking, here in the UK residential is cleaning once a month [outside only] and shops are cleaned once a week [inside + out] . i personally offer a 2week,4 week or 6 week cleaning service and nothing else . Prices are pretty much £1 per window ,per side . This seems very low but once you get your act together and get up to speed theres a good living to be made. the demand for window cleaning is high here ,its how you cope with it physically is what makes the difference in the long term. Most guys who stay solo burn out and give it up after a year or 2
iv been doing it nine yrs and now have 3 employees -i focus on the small homes[ten windows approx per home] because i enjoy that sort of work ,we are usually good to do 30 of these each working day all on a 6 week rota . we usually complete the 30 in 6 hours ,then go home and do pretty much the same thing the following day .

Normally houses on average can range between Ā£10 to Ā£25 which is for standard homes but it just depends on the amount of windows. I’m purely traditional and charge Ā£2 for standard top windows and Ā£1 for standard bottom windows. The amount I do in a day can range between 15-20 houses a day and it’s just me that operates I’ve no employees and no plans for any, you want a job done right ya gotta do it yourself.

Very interesting. Are you guys doing tracks and screens? Or is that pretty much just for glass. I would assume if it’s monthly not much to be done other them the glass.

You guys in the uk dealing with screens?

theres no screens in the UK , no flyin insects as such!

As often as humanly possible!
I’d offer everyday if I could.

Find a way to figure out what they want and go with it. There is no set number of cleanings for anyone.

No screens but that means less per house than in the US as you can charge for that service. We clean windows once per month here so price is normally less than us also but we get more frequency so it’s swings and roundabouts

Hah! Wouldn’t that be nice? That will be $650 Mr. Jones, see you in the morning.
