What are your frequency of cleanings?

Hello.

I am wondering, what are the frequencies of the cleanings you do for your customers? I have been pretty adamant on bi-monthly and every 3 months outside cleaning. First cleanings are a time and a half, then set them up for every 2 or 3 months at the base price. If they go over 3 months between service, it is a cleaning and a half–

Pitching that you will only need service 6 times a year (every 2 months) and your windows will be clean year round has been found to be a successful selling point. If you are on the water, 2 months is necessary-- weekly or monthly is preferred.

Just wondering what everyone is doing, as I do not like doing one-time shots and explain to customers I do not bother unless you are going to be a routine customer. I feel every 2 months keeps the windows clean year round, and ease of cleaning cuts down your time dramatically. Anything after 3 months, you are looking at a SEASON’S worth of dirt.

Cleaning clean windows is never a bad thing.

Storefront or residential? Weekly in residential just doesn’t happen here.

Oh sorry, strictly residential.

Store fronts would be weekly, bi-weekly, monthly…bi-monthly if good paying account. Anything after that, time and a half.

I’m lucky if people are willing to have their windows done twice a year.

Yeah in my market bi yearly is optimum. Id get a kick in the ass to help me off the property for suggesting 6 times a year. Storefront monthly is my mainstay.

Are you new to the business and the site? Or just to the site?

If you keep busy enough to tell people that you won’t clean their windows unless they agree every two months, more power to you.

I have many quarterly customers (every three months) and I charge “full price” first clean, then 20% off going forward every quarter. It has worked well so far except two properties, and I will raise their rate starting the new year.

Some I wish I could do weekly; I like getting that check! Some on the water need it more often but I won’t reduce my rate enough to do more frequent. Work is work. Some are only interested in semi-annual and annual. I don’t remove them from the rotation, they get scheduled when their time comes around.

Yeah, what Garry said. Work is work. I’ll take one shots all year as opposed to sitting on my ass, or worse yet making some other dude rich working for him.

Monthly or every 4 weeks?

Twice per year for 75% of my client base. Even then, most are clean enough that a quick 4-5 wfp brush agitation is more than enough.

Have many go monthly
Others go twice a year and than there are your once a year jobs.
Have a few on the ocean front that go every 2 weeks outside only.

Residential 2x a year mostly.

Store fronts any where from 1x a week, 2x month, majority once every 4 weeks.

Here in the UK it’s usually once per month but houses are smaller on average here so less money per house than in the states but the flip side is we do them 12 times a year

Same here.

I am also lucky if people want their windows cleaned twice a year. Most of my customers are getting their windows cleaned for the first time.
