Tell me about it!

vegas in february or early march. used to go to the photo marketing association convention there. occasionally they would try to hold it somewhere else but always the overall favourite by the majority was vegas.
vegas is such a huge destination there are more packages and direct flights from more places than almost anywhere else in the world.
4 day package thurs-sun for a weekend convention is awesome. the flights are always pretty convenient times as well to minimize downtiime

I am suprised to see so many votes for February. To me August seems like a good excuse to take a sort of vacation after working hard Spring and early Summer.

So instead of that you are going to be “working” during the real off season.
(if you are in cold climate).

I vote for some where warm during the winter months to get us out of this frozen basin for a week or so…

@Chris On my Feb & August schedule I have more time off than other months. Either of those 2 months would work for me.

I voted August because it’s easier to take the kids or have them be watched because they are on summer break.

Jan,Feb or Nov,Oct is perfect

I’ve really wanted to go to the Huge Convention for a couple years now. Yes August is typically and relatively slower but it’s the last and only time I get to enjoy warm weather in WI w family and friends.
Any winter month works for me 100 times over.

Agreed, me too…

February in Hawaii would be awesome. Or Florida I suppose.

in much of north america the summers are short and precious, while there is a bit of a slow down mid summer i sure as heck don’t want to waste it on “working vacation” i want to be at the lake as much as possible.
vegas in late feb early march is warm enough to be a nice break for anyone from a cold area, AND you can justify it as work for taxes AND while it is work it’s a definite break/change of pace. if you want a bit more of break book a week long package.

I think the winter months are the best for our business’s.

Really these are about networking but one thing I have found is you leave these events energized and full of ideas.

Winter is the best time for us to work ON our business’s and it’s too easy to get lazy in winter. Spring comes fast. End of Jan early Feb I think is prime.

Those who do lights have them down, everyone should have broken down the prior year and identified major and minor changes needed. Go to an event, brainstorm about these ideas come back and you have time to work on and implement before Spring arrives.

January or February would be ideal. Most (not all) window cleaning companies are at their slowest during this time. It also gives the northerners an excuse to get out of the cold and go do something fun/educational for a few days instead of trying to avoid frostbite.

What are some possible destinations for the next Huge Convention?

Seems like people would have more disposable income after a busy season vs. dead of winter.
