I have out lots of keywords into my site, but they are my interpritation of what a customer might search when looking for services. what do others use and what have you found that works to help lift your search?
I am doing the SEO myself and need all the help I can get.
Use the google keyword tool. Just type in your keyword and it will tell you how many time it and similar keywords are being searched.

I was wondering the same thing…
I noticed I wasnt getting found when searching house and roof washing so… I just spent the past 6 hours updating key words, meta tags, title tags, h1 tags, tags tags, window tags, roof and house washing tags. BOOM! Still needs work but, Google seems to be the best source of leads the past 3 years. Just trying to stay on top. Love Google Key Word Search Tool. I have a GODADDY dream design site. I like it, its easy to use and I can call 24/7 for help.
I could tell you, but it would be a verrrrrry expensive bit of information lol

You can get all this information by Google Adwords keyword tool and Wordtracker.
yes, play with google adwords - it will give you suggestions.
I use the scrapebox SEO tool to scrape the keywords; and I never regret this tool investment 
First off there is NO rocket science…2nd when putting in your key words go from longest to shortest… i.e. window cleaning your town, window cleaning, your town, window, clean, etc etc
I always go for the words that are most relevant in my area and I also use the Google keyword tool.
