What to charge for glass restoration / stain removal

Hi All,
We have recently gotten into glass restoration/stain removal. We have had some success with our results and are now wanting to advertise this service.
What are others using as a pricing guide / formula?
Thanks

I find it totally depends on how much work is involved.
Some stains come off with extra steel wool scrubbing, others need a little bar keepers friend.
Then there are those that need Diamond Magic, cerium oxide or Mr Hardwater.
Then there are those that can be done by hand with those chemicals
and the ones that need a power tool.
Then after that there are various chems with acid, which I totally shy away from.
So to answer your question…it all depends on the job.

Thanks Matt - yeah you are totally right there. Do you or anybody else charge out by the hour for this type of work?

I don’t touch hardwater unless it comes off like melted butter. People won’t pay for it in my area and I’d rather go get 90 or 130 hr with my waterfed then kill my shoulder scrubbing hard water. For a residential sliding window I’m $15 to $70 a pane so $30 to $140 a window depending how stubborn the stains are, even though that windows $275 to $400 to replace people in my area compare restoration to cleaning costs and refuse to pay for it.

I give the estimate as a set price, yet in my head I have an idea of how
long it will take and I know how much per hour I want to make.
