Theres a radio show about marketing/advertising called ‘age of persuasion’. I ripped a bunch of episodes from the website. Amazing production and super informative, I listened to 10 in a row last week. The Age of Persuasion

I just found someone who has ripped all the episodes and made a podcast Age of Persuasion – CBC Podcasts If you listen, let me know if you like em.

Hatebreed, Born of Osiris, Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Five Finger Death Punch, DIO, Metallica, Megadeth, Lamb Of God, Disturbed, for starters.

Hatebreed

Seems like a lot of heavy metal/rock music.

I prefer a nice blend of everything from country to hip hop to classic rock. I usually listen to music for either just the lyrics or just the music…awkwardly never both.

Although I only listen to my ipod at the gym, it’s definitely loaded with some hardcore… it’s a must.

Forgot to mention the two part Blur mix and The BEE GEES mix, brings me back to the nights of watching “CHIPS” in the basement of my old house at the age of 6 or 7. Don’t dis DISCO!!!

I imagine the only person on here who will know what I am talking about will be squeegee ninja…but I got a bunch of old skool techno and house I jam to in the mornings…DJ Trance and Fester, Taylor, some Doc, Barry Weaver…etc. When I’m hittin’ the iron got a bunch of OLD mettalica and that sort of stuff.

Of course, there is that part of our ipods that nobody will post cuz its extremely gay- and I ain’t gonna be the first to do that but suffice it to say I like alot of slow stuff too. Ahh who cares- so I got a gay ipod…who cares.
I like Mariah Carey, Beyonce (the slow stuff), Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Temptations, 4 tops, Stylistics, Delfonics, Smokey Robinson,
I like opera too…Sarah Brightman is awesome, Andrea Bocelli.
Teddy Pendergrass, Keith Sweat, Shirley Murdock…I like Shakira too (yeah I know)…I like Julieta Venegas too.

Its a good thing I use the ear buds, because if I was playing Shakira with my worker in my truck all loud, that would have to be on youtube…nothing more gay than that.

Van Morrison, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, J. Cash, Sam Cooke, Bob Marley, Al Green, Jack Johnson, Robert Zimmerman

I’ve never had an Ipod so I don’t really have all that much on my Iphone so I usually listen to Pandora, today I started with the Wu-tang channel, then Cypress Hill, James Brown and finished it off with Parliament. If I need to lighten my mood I’ll put the comedy channel from Slacker radio on.

Damn forgot I had that. I need to pull mine back out again when I’m out doing door hangers. Mine I have Ricky Gervals, Elvis Presley and audio history books mostly
and a couple of movies for when I feel lazy and get the old whip out on my guys ha ha

Wow, I guess I’m the weirdo in this bunch.

As a youngster I was into the hardcore death metal etc… now I pretty much just listen to old-timey jazz like Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman and definitely Louis Armstrong.

Now that I’m an old man of 34 years;), I am the exact opposite of my younger self. I do on occasion listen to the the Killers and similar stuff- but mostly just old Jazz, not that “smooth” jazz or kenny G/Yanni kinda crap though:(- Thats my version of hell if listen to modern or popular jazz. If the artist is still alive then I probably don’t listen to them when it comes to Jazz.

Oh and as far as podcast go, I love Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History. The series “Ghost of the Ostfront” is seriously good.

Slacker radio? iPhone App.? Talk to me big daddy

Haha yeah man, I’ve been listening to a lot of dubsteppy/wobble/glitch stuff lately. TOOL, always, takes up most my memory in there. Hardkiss “Delusions of Grandeur” is in heavy rotation right now, IMHO one of the best electronic albums ever made. Lots of gabber and hardstyle for the afternoon slump. Downloaded How to Destroy Angels the other day, Trent Reznor’s new band, awesome stuff. Venitian Snares is pure genius, but if the customer hears that blasting through yout earbuds they will question your sanity. I’m really liking this new DnB / frenchcore / noise smashup genre (Limewax, Hellfish, ****mat, DJ Hidden, etc.) as well. I LOVE when artists take music to places it was never intended to go.

…and a severely eclectic smash of everything from Marley to Meshuggah
