I have not heard much success with it. The only person I can think of who has done “ok” ran a 20 window special
We jumped into a very targeted one. It his a large neighbor hood we serve. If we mail postcards to it we get a minimum of 10 calls, with 2 mailing of the valpak type book we have yet to get a call.
Valpaks are great…for a coupon at a chinese restaurant.
i guess the greater question, who is your demographic?
Imo, using valpak is introducing your company to a customer with a coupon. First impressions last a long time and it’s impossible for a customer to forget what they once paid with a coupon.
I got a quote for valpak here in michigan. 35,000 homes for 650 a month. REALLY cheap. We may try it in the spring. We have never tried gaining customers by giving discounts. Almost every customer we serve has hired us without discounts so Im a little hesitant. However, if we can hit a ton of homes with valpak and follow that up with a postcard campaign or something, that could work.
Valpak is a hit or miss, works for people with deep pockets… And the whole coupon idea making your company look cheap its really not like that… I worked for the most high end elite carpet cleaning companies here in Los Angeles they all had mailing(valpak) coupons and my truck for ex sample was bringing in a lil over $250k per year… Its all in up sales, Smart high end people know how to spend there money, and will spend when they see value… A well designed coupon is a money generating machine!

There are more things to upsell in carpet cleaning then window cleaning
IMO .
Scotch guard , Deodorizers, upholostry cleaning , tile an grout cleaning , oriental rugs
More rooms .

Maybe but windows, you can up sell Soft Washing, Power Washing, Screen Repair, Hard Water removal- the money is out there, it just wont land in your wallet… Gotta look for it!
I’m not saying you, speaking in general, but if your not up selling at jobs! Adding services, your not gonna make the money you could make if you did up sell! I have no shame in my game, I offer I ask! If I see a dirty drive way I simply ask!! Most of the time I get them!
