Where are you buying screen mesh?

To make this short, the Home Depot mesh is complete crap. I also ordered a sample of some from CRLaurence and it feels like the exact same material, very thin compared to the original mesh used on most track homes. Anyone find anything better? I don’t want to rescreen with low quality material.

i bought some at Lowe’s for a rescreening job. It seemed to be pretty good quality.

Happen to know the brand name?

There are diffrent strengths available from CR Laurence. Also, if you feel the fiberglass screen mesh in a pre-existing screen it usually feels harder and stiffer than brand new mesh. Sometimes that is only because the origianl is dried out. The new stuff always feels very soft in comparison. But like I say, they have different strengths and some is more suited to screened in porches so maybe that ismthe quality you’re looking for.

I think Home Depot and Lowes gets it from Phifer or New York Wire.

I’ve found that Lowes offers the mesh in larger quantities, bulk, than what HD offers. I only carry the regular fiberglass mesh. If the customer wants something special for their cats and such, I’ll have them provide the screening that they want and charge the same (cuz it’s usually more time consuming to install)

Man, why is it you NEVER call me with stuff like this big home skillet? We have a HUGE window screen supply house in chula vista off the 5 freeway. Don’t have a phone number or the name of it, BUT…take the 5 south, exit main street, east off the exit, make an immediate right, another immediate right and on the left side of the street you will see some jacked up glass, thats your building. Walk to the back of that building, the last door to your left. Trevor may have a phone number for you, Trevor from Clarion.

Dude sometimes I wish WCR had a section for your recent threads/posts so I can keep track! Totally forgot about this thread. Thanks guys, and thanks Tory, I didn’t even think about giving you a buzz just been super busy between personal and business life lately, you know how it goes. We need to get together soon again man.
