Which convention to attend to?

Okay, so here’s my problem: I feel the urge to learn, develop, improve my business and get positive energy in my business. So i’m looking for a convention to attend to, but I don’t know which…

There’s the Pressure Washing & Window Cleaning Convention the 7th-8th of August, in Washington D.C.

and

there’s the IWCA 2015 Convention on Feb 11-14 2015, in Arizona.

Now, I’m from Quebec, Canada, i’m a member of neither IWCA or WCRA yet. I just want to know which one is the best convention to go since I want to learn new techniques, safety, technology etc…

Could you help me pick one convention and tell me why I should go there?
Thanks for your helps. I’m very confused now as I don’t know the difference between the two conventions.

I have attended the 2014 window cleaning and pressure washing convention. It was AWESOME…
Good people, great information, definitely a worth while investment.
It doesn’t matter what level of business you are whether it be small or large, 1 year experience or 20, everyone who attends this convention will benefit in some way.

You being from Quebec, I would like to say Arizona in Feb would be the right choice.
But honestly, I’d go the the one that you feel you need to learn more from, service-wise.

For me, personally, I would go Pwashing, because that’s a weak link for me, compared to windows.

I was pretty much climbing ladders as a teenager, and jumping into the chair shortly after.
…but PWashing has been a recent ‘natural progression’ add on.

  • so I would gain the most, considering my ignorance (for lack of better word) at a Pressure Washing convention.

let me say this- i’ve been cleaning windows since i was 17, and i’ve owned my business since i was 22. never once, in all those years, did the IWCA present any sort of value to me. even if there was value, the organization never did a single thing to make me aware of it.

my experience with the WCRA/PWRA has been the total opposite.

I’m all for networking and learning from leaders in our industry, but I just looked at the prices for the IWCA event.
I just don’t see enough value to justify those prices; and I’m already in Phoenix!

Thats true, they’re way more expensive!

IWCA convention is a joke. The one in DC is where the really good stuff is.

the event in DC, no question.

But it’s in DC!!! All the criminals and crime lords are up there. And even the non-politicians are crazy.

Frank underwood is my boy!!!

I have been to both. Go to DC for sure.

DC no question about it.

I am going to try to make it to DC next year. I have not been to a convention in a while. It would be great to see everyone

Split the difference and come to New Orleans in January.

Learn how to be more profitable so you can hit the big convention in Maryland at the Gaylord National in style.

i think is time for me to go to my first NOLA WOW
looks like will be at same time as our vacation in FL and will be perfect to finish it with the convention !

do I need extra ticket for my wife ?

Since seating is extremely limited and exclusive every attendee needs a ticket. It’s worth it!

DC and NOLA, those are my favorites for the year.

It’s across the river from DC in pastoral Oxon Hill, Maryland at the waterfront Gaylord National Harbor.
You can see downtown from the top of the Sky Wheel but you can’t hear the gunfire at all.

So true. Ahh good 'ol PG county, MD. My place of birth.
