Window cleaning for me its all i have done for 25 years .
Never have had a client ask for roof washing.
HOLY SMOKES - Apple, do you have a link to this very interesting story. Was it an african grey or macaw?
Roof cleaning is nice but done rarely, we actually did one today for a customer we have been cleaning windows of for three years, well said
The roofs are real bad here from the wild fires on 2007, most companies pressure wash them
I think you need a wide array or services however if I had to start with one it would be window cleaning, most people care less about roof cleaning. We only did 6 all of 2011 however we don’t push it too hard
window cleaning for me too. Ease of entry, low-cost of supplies to get started. Both are huge pluses. Also, it’s easy to tear something up w/ a pressure washer. Harder to break something w/ a squeegee…
Exactly, Roof cleaning is not bad work for the money but I could not imagine running a company just cleaning roofs, how is business treating you out there Mr Mole, December was tough here! Its not over either
doing good, thanks for asking. We’re “closed” this week. Doing a couple of jobs, but my main guy is out of town and I’m mostly reading and working on planning stuff for next season. Jan-Feb will slow, but we’ve saved some money and have some commercial projects lined up to keep us somewhat busy. I have PLENTY to do…
We get slammed in Jan and Feb then it slows for March and April, doing the same thing as you are pretty much
Roof Cleaning!
I wash roofs and make much more than mentioned in one of the other posts so the money is good.
That being said, I have no interest in washing windows but I am curious about glass scratch removal. How would that fit into a new business plan for you guys?
Its all good.
I am in the process of getting out of the window cleaning business (at least the day to day management of it) and starting a new roof cleaning specific company.
Roof cleaning (moss removal specifically, rather than algae removal) has come to account for more than half my revenue in my window cleaning company, so I’m moving to a larger city and specializing in roof cleaning.
My new website is West Coast Roof Cleaning | Vancouver Roof Cleaning & Moss Removal | Vancouver’s Premiere Roof Cleaning, Moss Removal and Gutter Cleaning Company
Good luck with it… Thats a great website!
Well, since I have been teaching roof cleaning nearly 20 years, I feel there is more money in roof cleaning then window cleaning. BUT, I strongly feel the 2 services compliment each other. Most of the window cleaners I have trained do very well at roof cleaning, because it is a natural add on for their existing customers.
Chris I thought you gave up on training?
Ron Musgraves text me for
questions 480-522-5227 Pressure Washing Institute.com
I think you have a misunderstanding Ron ? I have not given up helping people learn how to clean roofs.
window cleaning since this is wcr
He knows, he was just taking a shot Chris. He is heavily promoting another “trainer” behind the scenes. Maybe if you bought a stupid hat?
Doesn’t matter, Ron is banned here, just like his “trainer” buddy.
No, I didn’t ban them. I don’t have that much juice here.
hooray!
