Yes, you can use a heat-gun on low. But I never followed the wide-bodied route in the end. I found the channel slightly too heavy for the handle. If you do decide to go for it - Just take a look at where the screw is to where the channel goes in - you still need to put that screw in after!*
Tried to fit a sorbo squeegee channel on a Wagtail Whirlwind Disc with no success, just not designed to accommodate wide squeegee channels.
It also deformed the thread where the screw goes.
So as they say please do not try this at home
The smaller channels generally fit ok if that is what you like to do.
The way this has been done was to put a clamp for any sized squeegee channels on wagtail type disc.
As well as wagtail squeegees disc them selves could be fitted on.
This one would fit on the yellow disc without altering anything.
Without worrying about striping threads that hold the squeegee channel in.
This would enable you to change what ever channel length you wish.
You then use one handle for many different squeegee channel lengths.
Also as you may notice that the disc that holds the clamp is made of PVC board.
Which can be made with minimal tools.
And will fit on wagtail handles.
Here is something different!
You have the swivel directly over you squeegee channel check it out.
