Window Cleaner Catches Foot - Falls To Death

Sad…I fell from a ladder and I was blessed for this not to have happened. Those freak accidents you can’t control. May God be with his family

Man, are you on a death watch or something? That’s all I ever see you post is about window cleaners who are killed while working. I understand there is a risk to this line of work, but it seems you have a fixation.

I posted a similar post a while back, good to know I’m not the only one who feels that way. I remember catching some **** for it too, Karl says he will stop posting news of window cleaners dying when they quit dying. he promised.

The message to take from all of this is - Safety First - Even a seasoned professional has to always be on guard when on a ladder. So very sad. Whenever I get on a ladder I think of these stories and try not to get complacent and too comfortable.

We print these stories and post them in the shop. They’re sobering, and keep everybody from getting to comfortable.

Dr Amen is a figure in brain injury research and conducting in a study of ex N.F.L players for brain injury.
Dr Amen is always on the P.B.S helping to raise money by offering his books and D.V.Ds, any way I have been placing a bike helmet on my head every time I climb a ladder. I do this because Dr Amen says that recovery from brain injury is vary difficult.

I agree with the constant need to be reminded of the potential for the unexpected when using the ladder! We should really consider what we are charging if we do need to use one. THERE IS A REASON WHY PEOPLE HIRE SOMEONE ELSE TO GET ON A LADDER! We should charge extra, fairly but accordingly for the risk factor. Serious. I used to never have a fear of the ladder. That is until my ladder slipped out while I was 25ft up! I was very, very, very, very lucky that I landed on my feet and absorbed most of the fall. I did however severely sprain my ankle & leg. I now think twice or even three times before I go up and if I do have to go up, I charge accordingly. Be careful fellas’. Use your WFP when you can.

If you are so sure you know everything about what Karl posts, then just don’t click over to bother with his threads. He is a respected member of the industry and this community, for his contributions…including quite a few really good interviews with industry leaders.

What have you contributed that’s so awesome?

Hey Bud, calm down. I never questioned Karl’s work ethics, integrity, or his dedication. I’m sure he is a fine guy. I just thought he spent a lot of time talking about the deaths of window washers. My apologies to anyone I offended.

Remind us what Michael Mole has done for the industry that can be categorized as “awesome” besides kissing someone else’s arse.

I’m thinking about putting a label with the names of people I love on each rung of my ladder to read as I climb, constant reminder of what is truly important in life. Haven’t done it yet, though. :-\

Interesting idea, but that it dangerous in many ways.

No problem, thanks for clarifying. Have a great day!

Well, he did put together an awesome direct mail how to video. Thanks for playing…
