You’ll never get me in one of those cradles. I’d love to try high rise work someday, but only in a chair. These suspended platforms seem like they’re always breaking down- and apparently the age of the machines doesn’t matter. I’m glad the guys are ok.
Funny. We all worry about "human error."
But what scares me most is “mechanical error.”
Meaning, I get scared shitless, being in a glass elevator.
But- I’m perfectly fine hanging from a rope OUTSIDE of it.
I’m betting these guys feel the exact same way, right now.
I wonder if the guys will sue the company, it will never b the same, they will not b available to do the 69 anymore

Why don’t workers carry extra rope and descenders with them on the cradle so if they get stuck due to a mechanical mailfunction they can just slide down the rope instead of waiting. I know it won’t work in every scenario. Ever since getting stuck in a lift a couple years ago i always carry a rope and descender with me.
