Well, in Ricks defense, you did ask who was going to use the bullring. Rick is just informing us, in his nerdy way :), that he will not be using the bullring. He’s had issues, like myself, with Mr DD.
Anyways, as soon as I get back to work, I’ll post up pics of my setup. I said I would, a long time ago.
There no excuse to ruin a nice family thread like this with personnel matters!
Looking forward to the pics of your setup John!
You’re right. It’s been a good thread. I’m surprised it lasted this long without a derailment.
Work belts are a family thread?
Let keep it that way…LOL
I feel like this is one of those “G” rated threads! so family yes, you could have your kids read the thread and not worry to much about language or violence or adult matter!
Back on track! And sorry for taking so long to post here. This is typically the way I roll.
pretty simple
I might add another small pouch if I know I’m gonna be scrubbing with steel wool. I also use the ladder lanyard a lot.

The attachment does not seem to be able to be opened.
Thats weird. I sent it from my phone and I can see it in the thread on my phone. I’ll fix it in a bit
Tweaking my interior belt at the moment.
My exterior belt…
Moved my boab to left side. Been on right for a long time. Taking a little to get use to it being right handed.
May add a unger bottle holder. As i am thinking of using a bottle to apply solution. Which still gives me open space for double squeegee.
carabiner and a ring (right side) holds scrim… This scrim is from a linen table cloth. Which i found @ thrift store $4 bucks. And got me 4 big and a few small for back pouch. Another find was yard sale (white linen table cloth) with napkin’s. Napkin’s perfect for hand held scrim. My cut ups are @ friends having edge sewn…Have some back but not all yet:( Used my purchased scrim as template.
carabiner had some… Rings i got @ lowes hardware section. Biggest and next size lower. 5 for $7
Blade goes in slot main pouch… Main pouch… two micro fiber rags, one linen hand held size
ziplock bag’s… hold bronze wool, magic eraser, white pad thin. track brush not in bag … blue pad with handle other pouch.
cheers john
nice setup. thanks for sharing the pics.
how has this worked out for you “This scrim is from a linen table cloth”?
I have tired the same belt, but it just felt to wide and bulky. But hey it was comfy
wws thanks for fixing the link.
I like the simplicity of your setup Tim.
I added the picture to my original post. Nothing special. I change it up a little bit depending on the job.

That’s a really bare bones belt. Is that for resi?

Steve
Linen table cloth actually is very good. Though not quite as rough as the scrim i got from WCR. "Fabric is smoother"
I have been very surprised and happy with giving it a try. A bit of difference but from what i have seen so far.
It cleans and details just as fine as my purchased scrim. I just have a lot more @ a cheaper price.
So i def would rec a run by a good thrift store. To find a linen table cloth in the fabric section.
You may be quite surprised how well it does… Just make sure you fold and sew cut ends…
carabiner and ring… my version of …
cheers John
Im always up for trying something different.
Thats how I work most of the time. I always walk a resi first to evaluate the job, then I might throw a pouch on for whatever else I need like a sponge, steel wool, track brush (If i dont use the other pouch i keep the brush in the pouch thats already on there.) My helper is usually on the inside and carries a little bit more than I do. I wear everything I need and nothing more.
Mike, the belt I have is the same belt as yours. Have you tried to take that padding off yet? I used to think it was comfortable but I ripped the loops on it one day. When I took that pad off it felt like I lost 10lbs. Feels so much better without it.
I kinda like it, feels sturdy and stable. I’ve had the same set up for years now. It feels weird anytime I try to change it up haha

Here we go…
On the left is my dual loop where I carry a towel to wipe off a wet squeegee, and a white scrub pad.
Next to that is my AWP pouch from Lowes. It has three main compartments and a few other small ones for tools. A few items are not in the pouch, due to not working for over 3 months. More hucks/scrims, water bottle, paint can opener for screens, and a screwdriver.
In the pouch shown, I have a magic eraser, extra huck for sills, two painters tools I usually use to remove mud nests and other debris, track brush from WCR, and my Ettore 5" scraper. The cover to the scraper is snug down in the top slot so it remains when I pull out the blade for a window.
Next to the pouch I carry some Sprayway, or a Gatorade squirt bottle with soapy water.
Next to that is my sponge, then my boab.
There ya go. This is for interior or exterior. Nothing changes.
Thanks for sharing the pic, nice setup John.
