So to loop back to the original topic. Does anyone wear underarmor heatgear or similar under their shirts?

Based in Texas as well. We generally go with performance based t-shirts (athletic wear). This helps with keeping the guys cool. All cotton t-shirts get drenched quickly and after a couple of hours you have to can wring them out.

If you are getting stuff printed, I’d check with your screenprinter and get a price on active wear. If not you might want to hit Academy and checkout the Under Armour, Champions, or Adidas gear.

Yeah, got two days off in a row finally and started my day at 8 mowing 2 yards. It was 110 by 10:30 this morning. Ridiculous.

Do you guys year the long sleeve or short sleeve shirts. Thought about trying Columbia’s PFG long sleeve shirts. Not the button ups.

I am in the same boat, about considering switching over to long pants/shirts.

Shorts are great, but I am developing quite drastic tan lines.

We go with short sleeve in the summer than for our short 2.5 months of winter we wear long sleeves. I had not thought about Columbia’s PFG long sleeve shirt, but like the idea as it’s the same material as active wear.

I believe it has UV protection as well.

Just to add on to what was already listed.
Celery (Get organic, too much garbage in normal celery now), Cauliflower, and Strawberries are good options as well.
And any of them can be kept in a little container/cooler for snacks between jobs or during a water break.

Edit: and currently I’d seen Peaches for like 98 cents a pound at H-E-B, so there’s another decent option for the time being. Though they’re usually quite a bit more costly.

I thought about orange slices and watermelon. Never thought about celery though.

Great additions, oranges, celery, lettuce (especially iceberg lettuce), even carrots have a lot of water in them…if eaten raw. Sometimes I’ll slice up a raw potato and eat it with a little salt and pepper, maybe a little olive oil.

Let’s not forget about the cooling benifits of cucumber.
