what is everyones perfered color for work shirts to me if you go with a dark color like brown or black it gives of the image of dirt. is white blue or a brighter color more appeling to the custmers ?
Blue for me.
I use various colors,I like the bright colors…used bright orange this past summer. I had a bunch made up for my daughter and her friends at the high school- used brights like lime green, purple, hot pink and had them made w/crystal clear logo in a glitter print . The girls wear them all over the place. She’s still getting requests for more. I get them at a great price from one of my customers who i barter with.
We have black shirts and they look awesome, the logo colors stand out very well.
But, they’re a little too hot for most of the year so usually we use “ash gray” colored shirts.
I hear that…
I started with dark navy blue, then switched to grey when it got hot. My big problem with the blue was that this summer was brutal, and extremely sweaty. When i finished the outer windows and moved inside, typically in the A/C, the sweat would dry and I would get these horrible white sweat/salt marks all over the blue shirt. Looked like hell.
I use Bright sky blue with white lettering
Navy blue, with white embroidered lettering.
The lack of humidity out there must be wonderful
heather gray.
It still gets hot in the summer. I use the golf shirts Adidas makes, they breath real well.
Our employees wear the nice golf polo’s that breath well in the heat. We have two colors, sky blue with white embroidering, and maroon also with white embroidering.
We have been using the polo’s for years and are willing to pay a little extra for them instead of a t-shirt.
we have used everycolor in the last 25 years .
The past 5 years we have used ash grey

Red with white lettering, some with black shoulders/piping. Breathable/quick dry fabric for summer.
OSAHA saftey yellow. Its almost a neon yellow. people see us from a mile away. We have actually had people stop as they were driving by and ask for a card or to set up an appointment. To me its more important to be seen and REMEMBERED. the saftey yellow does that. All of our clients always make some sort of comment how loud the t shirts are and thats just fine by me. One more thing to make us stand out.
BTW anyone who is using quick dry or wicking shirts. Be very careful with them. They have been banned in the military because they are fire hazards. Basicly they will melt to you if they go up. I know window cleaning is not something we think about in the lines of being on fire. But you just never know. If one of your employees or yourself (god forbid) got in a car accident and were on fire. It would be nice to be able to stop drop and roll if possible, instead of stop, dropping, rolling and melting the shirt to your body.
That’s a perfect description!
