or how about this…
This is what I use - Air Pro 1/4 x 100’ Air Hose With 1/4 MPT
I got it from my local home center for a little less than the price in the link. I run 300ft on my hose reel.
The braided one will last longer, but will be heavier.
Thanks guys… I’ll take that as a yes.
I already have 3/8 air hose but I bought awkward lengths. 25ft and 50ft and I don’t like all the different sizes and fittings etc. Now I’m switching my set up from back pack to hook in directly to the DI tank and get raw water from the customer. I tried it out and I get a lot more water coming out of the brush then the back pack on 4. Made it easier to rinse but I’ll have to be wary to conserve. I figured that I’ll only get 1200 gallons out of my 1/2 cubic ft DI tank.
As for how long it lasts… I can get 100’ lengths of 1/4 inch air line for $14 so it doesn’t really matter.
I run the same as Tony, only the orange one. I run 300 feet as well. Got room for another 100 feet on the reel. I used to run 300 feet of garden hose! MAN that was so heavy and such a pain in the neck to haul around and roll up.
We just got an Aquadapter on one of our poles today, and so far they guys have been raving about it. I really think this will help alot in extending the life of our DI tanks.
Speaking of which. I was using a back pack (I only did one house) and I ran out of water. I was using 3/8 rubber air hose, anyway. Now I switched it up and hook the DI tank to the water tap and use the 1/4 inch line to my poles. I have to be careful not to turn on the water full or a LOT comes out of the pole. Makes it easier to rinse though. Someone recommended I put a small RO device on and that it would pay for itself. I just tell myself that hopefully I’ll get enough water for 100-120 houses out of that 1200 gallons of pure… My water is 140TDS and I’m only going by a chart that was in pure water manual. I’m really not sure how accurate it is yet.
I ended up buying 100 ft of braided vinyl hose. I like it a lot better then the 3/8 air hose I had (still have). The problem I have with the Aqua adapter is that they are almost $200 with shipping (I’m in Canada) and you need one for every pole. On/off switches should be “built in” these poles imo.
