Great that you are getting a replacement. I have had great success on other pole clamps with JB Weld.
That is the brand that I used. Their structural epoxy compatible with carbon fiber.
I am having problems with my Xero 40 as well. We are only 10 jobs into the pole and three sections came loose already. Two sections came loose after the 3rd job and the next section came loose after the 8th job. Called WCR and their solution was gorilla glue or epoxy. Tried both and neither was a good solution. Alex did send me a replacement for the first two sections (good customer service on his end), but now the 3rd broken section is not in stock and am waiting for it to be replaced. There is no way the product should be breaking after only a few uses. I’m thinking I made a mistake going with the Xero 40.
I had light use before one of my collers delaminated. Try jbweld structural epoxy compatible with carbon fiber. You should be able to find it the auto section at walmart. It wont set you back as much as west epoxy if it doesnt work, but mine is holding just fine. Just make sure to use proper procedure for gluing. I had a post not to long ago about how i used it. Im not too happy mind came unglued so easily either, but it seems to be holding now.
my gardiner pole is worth its weight in gold
No I don’t think you did. There are thousands of them in operation all around the United States. The glue failure issue is less than 1/2 of one percent. We have more Ultimates coming in this week and we are going to send you out a brand spanking new one free of charge. @Alex will drop you a note as it goes out the door with a tracking number.
Im sorry about this issue I know its frustrating and I apologize.
Chris,
Thanks so much, we truly appreciate it.
Unger had the same glue issues with that junky sectional pole.
My first pole was a Xero 35 and I had the same glue issues after the first job. Alex sent me a new one along with an upgraded brush. It’s been working well but I recently had a collar come unglued on this one too. Some JB Weld got it back in action. My guess is that there was a bad batch of glue used at some point and it made it’s way onto a small percentage of the poles. It sucks but these things happen. Good customer service more than makes up for the crappy glue though.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I call that customer service. Chris, you are my hero for the day.
@Chris another clamp delaminated. Is there a good way to get them all to delaminate and reglue them? My concern is heat will cause damage to the carbon fiber, but I also dont want to lose an hour on the job to wait for glue to dry. I bought my pole around the beginning of October 2017 if that helps with tracking the QC issue.
I was going to buy a xero pole once the oval came out but now I’m hesitant. It sounds like a few people are having these issues. Has anyone tried the oval? Is the oval shape really worth the extra price? I wish they had a package like the xero with all the accessories. Do they make extensions for these. I’m debating on saving for a gardiner pole so I can have something that grows with me
Im sorry to hear this we are going to ship you out a new pole Tuesday free of charge. Ill include a free return label in the box if you don’t mind sending the old one back to us.
We’ve pin pointed a batch ( 1 shipment to us last year ) that appears to have this glue issue. We are just recalling them in and swapping out free replacements at this point.
If you are experiencing a problem drop me a line [email protected] and Ill get you taken care of.
Naa don’t be. The poles are highly reliable and affordable. The rate of “problems” is literally way less than a 1/2 of 1% of overall XERO poles in operation. There are of thousands of them in operation worldwide. The rate of problems is almost immeasurable.
If we can help with this or any other pole line let us know https://shopwindowcleaningresource.com/water-fed-poles.html
Thanks Chris, I appreciate it! I love the pole, and there is nothing else wrong with it. Next step is the ultimate! Any future prospects on making it longer than 40 ft?
Best product out there. Have used it for 11 years

If you leave a little at the bottom of the clamp is would act as a stop to protect the clamp.
