I have only used my new system on 7 residential solar panel jobs averaging 30 panels each. Been using RO and DI and our TDS is 230 here. That seems to quick to be at tds of 7 already. Any thoughts? I do leave it horizontal in my Honda Element and our day temps were around 100 and night 70 degrees. Thanks for any help.
You have pretty high tds. That sounds about right actually.
Do you know what tds is coming out of your ro membrane before going into the di? Maybe the ro membrane pressure valve needs adjustments.
It is surprising how quickly the DI can be killed off by the first flush from the RO. I normally disconnect and run RO only for a few minutes first thing each time it is turned on. Watch the TDS go down from 90 to 17 appx. Then reconnect DI. Tap water here is 370. Your DI will likely be the problem. That is the trouble with fully coonected ready made systems rather than DIY modular. They appear to be plug and play but still need intervention if you want to economise on resin.
Check you TDS several times it will drop also you should be able to get good results with 7 just do the eye check
If it continues use the manual and do a troubleshooting test
Always flush your ro before letting it go to the Di.
