What’s been your biggest problem while you’re out in the field? Or the biggest problem an employee of yours has run into while in the field? How did you guys deal with it?
Not a technical issue, more on the business side of things…answering the phone!
Hiring an answering service last year has been one of the best decisions ever.
Oh God, where do I start.
Scheduling/rescheduling due to weather, cancellations or customer “doctor appointments”.
Keeping up the customer list.
Keeping our ‘above and beyond’ philosophy while wrestling with my mediocre health and horrible KY weather.
As for the actual windows, the bigger double hung with storms are getting to be a real liability, both for my health and actual time spent at a house. I just can’t justify doing full length 12 over 12’s anymore, and I wrote off exterior bay storms a couple years ago. Those 3rd story ‘mystery’ dormers are on my no-go list too.
Working around the rain. Sometimes I feel like I live in a tropical rain forest. We get so much rain in Louisiana. That is the main reason I switched to a 4 day work week years ago. That has helped a lot.
Hey Jared, where can I get one of those stickers?
Oh, aztecinnovation.com. Never mind.
I’ll send you a couple if you email me your address. Jared at aztecinnovation
I appreciate it, actually ended up ordering a 10 pack and a sign. Funniest thing I’ve seen in years. There’s always that one customer a year to make that joke.
Yeah, I made the sign mainly as a way to cope.
