Hi Forum, I wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to answer my previous poll. I am taking these polls in an effort to better our customer service and internal operations.
Please take just a minute to answer the above poll. Your answers are very important to us. Please choose more than 1 option, if it applies to you.
If you have any feedback that you dont feel comfartable posting here, please feel free to email me privately. mandy@windowcleaner.com
In the pole I chose loyalty to another supplier as the reason I do not do more business with WCR. I’ve been thinking about my loyalty to the other supplier.
Why am I loyal to them anyway?
Is what have they done for me over the years out of the ordinary?
When I call, they send the supplies.
If there is a mistake they fix the problem.
Their prices are good.
All good things but nothing out of the ordinary.
If they went out of business tomorrow I could simply call someone else who could do more of the same.

On the other hand, I think Alex and Chris do more than the ordinary. What they have created is exceptional. If the forum and all the educational videos and the network disappeared tomorrow I would suffer a big lose. What Chris and Alex have done is extraordinary? Perhaps I should rethink my loyalties.

I use WCR because Alex and Chris are wcers. They use the stuff so they know the issues we deal w/ every day. They also listen to what we need. This poll is an example of that. Few suppliers can say they are inovaters. These guys can!
I spoke with Chris and Alex at a convention and asked them a couple questions. Their answers were honest and insightful. They don’t seem to sugar coat their replies. Other suppliers I have dealt with in the past will answer my questions with the politically correct answer “It’s your personal preference.” This answer doesn’t offend anybody. Well actually I get offended; maybe angry is a better word, because I still don’t know which piece of equipment to buy. At this point it becomes equipment purchase Russian Rue let.

Alex and Chris will answer the questions. The forum is also available and we’ve got Mark’s videos to help us on equipment and supplies purchases.
Not yet because I haven’t had the income to invest in a start up kit and my thoughts were, I will just go purchase the minimum, a squeegee at a local store to practice with and use what I have at home for buckets.
However, I will because … all of the people here, the videos, the tips, the helpful advise, support, etc … is worth a million to me and greatly appreciated! Where will my loyalties be? Here with WCR! Especially being a beginner, I know I am supported, encouraged and that is invaluable to me.
I haven’t used WCR for supplies only because I purchase my equipment and supplies through our franchisor. Now I have not done any price comparisons with you guys, but I know compared to the rest of the market my franchisor offers the best prices. BUT now you have got me thinking that maybe I should compare the franchisor’s prices to WCRs.
Things that make you go hhmmmmm.
Be careful of what you buy, it does make a difference! The Home Despot stuff is just crap and the results are similar to crap.
Ask them and they will give you proper advice. Some tools and handles fit, a mans hand better, some are smaller and will fit a woman’s better or maybe, something, bigger like a rolling pin so you can beat your employees with. Ask them, bin there done that… they have…
Shipping and taxes to Canada, are a killer, so sorry. Maybe if you ship it to Mark, in bulk and then we can order through him, cheaper rates for all. I can have someone come in and pick up for $10-$15 for shipping instead of $40-$60.
I responded with “havent needed any yet”. Some of you may recall on one of my post regarding bad rubber from Pulex. They sent me the whole order again at no charge. Didnt need rubber at all last year (Sorry Chris and Alex). I will be giving WCR a call here in mid spring to replenish my supply. I usually have bought my stuff through but I have no loyalty to them as I will have to these two guys.
I did go to home depot last night and I purchased a scrubber and a squeegee by unger, and a cheap bucket. I did notice right away that the selection sucks, they did not even have any of the replacement blades. However, I just want to practice a bit, see if this is something that I can really do and do well, before I venture into investing money that I can’t invest easily. No doubt, any future purchases, will be here. It is important to be able to get the right tools, and be able to get what you need when you need it! Not to mention, the help and service that is available here.
My experience with supermarket tools (from what I remember) nearly put me off window cleaning for good. They are bad, make you look bad & the rubber lasts half a day. If you want to be charging good prices you need pro’ tools. So if your experience is similar to mine - do yourself a favour & get a starter kit off WCR!
Yes, I agree 100%
and this is the bottom of the line stuff that anyone sells. I have one of them as well, its only advantage is that it fits on my wooden pole… that is all…
Thanks for putting an “I’m already a customer” option on there. While I’m posting…
I’ve bought 2-3 shipments worth of stuff, and I love WCR.
The shipping is just as fast as anyone else( I’ve bought from cwcsupply, jracenstein, and detroit sponge)
The prices are the same, if not better.
Alex and chris respond personally to questions, concerns, or problems
SCRIM IS AWESOME… I believe now.
There’s an ABUNDANCE of info about EVERY product.
The only criticism I could have is the selection. You guys have a great selection, you just don’t have a billion items and brands yet. That, I’m sure, will come with time. However, you have a great start
If your have another supplier( either locally or on the internet) give wcr a shot. At the very least, your making one contribution to keep making this place great. I probably wouldn’t have lasted this long( a year and a half) if it weren’t for everyone that frequents this forum.
I will give WCR a shot this spring. Normally I purchase from a local WC supply company with whom I have been fairly satisfied. And since I’m prone to procrastinating on my orders it’s nice to not have shipping costs or time.
I just purchased gutter zap from wcr. I did check your prices on some items I had already purchased in feb. from the company I usually use and you were a little higher. I am anxious to use my gutter zap, will let you know what i think of it…
