A whole lotta gutters!

Man December isn’t even here yet and we have finished most of our gutter list already. By the end of the week we should be very close…

The weather has been amazing this year so we got a ton done early… But more importantly we planned early and started scheduling them in September.

ANyone else having a great gutter season?

san diego doesn’t really have a “gutter season”

whats a list? do you just tell your resi customers you’ll put them on a list and you just show up and clean them when you have time? no scheduling involved?

Yep thats pretty much it… We give them a window when we are going to show up… Its very helpful because you can organize your day around drive time… and foliage development.

Same here.

After today we’ll just have a few stray gutter cleans to do this week after window cleaning jobs. Still crankin out window cleanings for the next few weeks too. December is looking pretty good. I hope the weather holds!

Great gutter weather. Should finish up tomorrow. Last year we finished on new years eve because of an early snow and then sub 32° temps.

This has been a great year, weather-wise.
I’m pretty sure we were doing gutter jobs in 70º weather this fall.

 • now if we could only do something about this whole “fall time change/dark at 5:30” thing.

We’ve had tons of gutter calls this year. Just bid another today as a matter of fact.

We don’t really have gutters down here. :frowning:

Actually yes, we recently finished a 90 condo unit gutter cleaning job last week, Gutter cleaning is great in San Diego right after a decent rain fall. job was for $XX,XXX.00 so it was very nice, thank god for gutters

Oops. I spoke too soon. I forgot a MailChimp campaign was going out today. Looks like more gutter cleaning to go. Yay!

We dont advertise for gutter cleaning but in the 25 years in the business i have never had anyone ask us to clean there gutters.

I’ve got 2 more on the schedule. I think this has been my best year for gutters as well.

Thats great because noone has to be home…

scheduling around the customers “busy” schedule is extremely non efficient…

those housewives really get me sometimes, ill say we can get you on the schedule on XX date at XX time and all they have to say is “well hmm, that day i have to drop my son off at school, AND i have a lunch date with sue, hmm would you be able to do another day?” If they only knew how much i get done in a day…

its a good and easy up-sell, but the market for it here on the wast coast is very small…

Lot of demand in my part of the West Coast – many mature trees throughout the urban areas; pines, oaks, redwood, and cedar thick on rural properties; newer developments still want to maintain their gutters and downspouts.

Whatever, the landscapers will do any home for $40 so it dosent even matter…

I don’t compete for price, and especially not at that level. I sell value.

Have you seen some of Kevin’s recent gutter cleaning prices (over at the FB forum?)

We went up on our pricing $1/ft and our minimum from $95 to $125. We don’t get every job and have lost a few clients but instead of doing volume and running around for nothing we are definitely running a more profitable gutter season. We have 50 gutter cleanings on top of a full window cleaning week this week - same next week. No complaints here.

Whats an FB forum? knowing kevin he probably averages $600 a house…

Damn, your ballin… you mean $1 a foot is what you charge or you raised your prices a dollar a foot?
