Amazing washing up liquid " ECOVER " video

Thanks for the explanation guys. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not knocking it, just trying to understand it. A video would be great John.

Sorry would have to disagree with you there mistersqueegee!

here in the uk it is common to use a bucket of water to dip your applicator in to clean the windows, now i use the same bucket of water all day and clean around 20/25 houses a day streakless windows, i think you will find that with the ecover any dirt from your applicator will sink to the bottom of your bucket and keep your bucket water clean!

Great Video John, The mirror demonstration is amazing. Thanks for making it public “today”

I think you will also notice that the other detergents dry quicker than the ecover so ecover gives you more working time and less chance of streaks or smears!

James it does not streak or smear any way… it has not just one advantage but 4 or 5 or TEN or 11

  1. greatly reduced smearing / streaking

  2. longer working time

  3. no damaging petrochemicals for your hands or BODY !!

  4. able to use with soft rubber in hot conditions

  5. makes it easier using wider squeegee blades / channels which enables quicker work ( debatable this one )

  6. Excellent Glide

  7. Possibly keeps windows cleaner than other detergents

  8. great for working in the Sun

  9. theres one main point i have forgotten . !!! Oh Yeh greatly reduced headache over detailing smearing

10 ) USE OF HOT WATER IN A HEATED ROOM WITH SOFT RUBBER ::: UNTHINKABLE !!!

  1. reduces the amount of time working on a job by maybe 10 - 20 %… but defo a reduction

  2. increase in quality of the glass cleaning

James, I have personally had issues w/ streaking when the solution was dirty. It doesn’t all settle to the bottom of the bucket. Added to that is those cleaners who add more soap when the solution looses it’s punch when it gets too dirty. That can also cause streaking.

Is it ecover that you are using? if so try a little vinegar in it as it does help!

No ecover or vinegar James. GG4 and pure water in most cases now. I don’t use vinegar ever as it’s nasty smelling and does my hands in. I have to many other things to use if I need to remove stains. I don’t drip my strip washer anymore. I make up about 3 gallons of solution in my bucket and then use a squirt bottle to wet the strip washer on the outs and a spray bottle on the ins. No problems. I have been watching this thread w/ interest though and I may have to give the Ecover a try w/ my GG4.

Mistersqueegee try the ecover on its own! dont mix it with other detergents you will notice just how good it is.

Can’t bring myself to become a dish soaper James.
Might try it w/ the GG and if it’s better than what I’m using right now I’ll see how I feel about joining the dark side.

Since we do almost exclusively residential work I need to know the longevity of the clean that any soap provides. So I figure I’ll get some of this wonder soap and use it on my patio doors. They get hammered by the elements and I can do a side by side comparison w/ my GG4 and Ecover.

I´ll try and get a video done this week that will see which detergent … will keep the windows the cleanest over a certain period of time …

Your just about ready to jump ship…

EcoverDange-Ski

Its more than just a dishsoap mistersqueegee its the future green cleaner for window cleaners!

Let’s hope so James. I use GG because dish soap left to much residue on my residential accounts making for more rapid resoiling. No sense in using a green dish soap if the results aren’t as good as I get now.

Tony, I’m excited about a side by side comparison. Will you use GG4 only or your esoteric GG+ that we have discussed or some other slip?
Perhaps confer with Mark Strange as he has expressed an interest in a test.
Dale.

Dale - I’ll be using the solution I use now which is the GG and other window cleaning soap.

If you look at the video john from germany put up at the start of the video the test was gg4 against ecover! and you will see that the gg4 started to dry up long before the ecover therefore giving you more working time!

John used to use gg4 but has changed to ecover because it is far better to work with.

I added Ecover to my GG4 and it was way better than adding Dawn. Then I had a thought. Why not listen to John Germany and use just the Ecover like he suggests? I’m not so smart so I try to listen to people who are. The ECOVER is better than GG4 and faster, way faster!

Do yourself a favor and listen to John, because he’s a smart guy.

Mike you are smart and I agree with your post 110%…
