Any Other Knife Collectors Or Just Me

Thanks so much for the offer but after you gave me the real name for that
particular shell I found online stores that sell cheap for jewelry grade
pieces.
That says allot about you to offer that man. What a pain in the neck that’d
be to do that for someone. Well, if you need something in tj or San Diego
hit me up. I’ll remember you.

Stay cool man.

I recently got this Benchmade and I love it. I also have a bunch of Kershaws, but this Benchmade is my favorite.

Ohh thats nice.

I can’t believe you have two of these… How long have you had them? I’ve had the one for about 18 months now, and the spring action is getting a little soft.

I have a Todd Begg steelctaft model coming in March/April can’t wait to get it

That’s the great thing about Benchmades, Chris. Look on their site for the Lifesharp warranty and get the address. Send the knife to them with $5 for return shipping and they will put a factory edge back on the blade. They will also replace anything that needs replaced. I’ve had clips, handles, and even blades replaced free of charge from them several times. It’s really like getting a new knife in the mail.

Yeah they will but unless you got bonafides they won’t mail it back. Best
to have the dealer do it for you.

Hey Chris. Had them about a year now. Got a sweet deal for 3 of them in
unopened boxes.

As for the spring issue, an easy way to bring back the life in it is to
polish the steel liners that hold the blade and that the blade slides along
just remove the top half and you’ll be okay with putting it back together
again start from the button and then work your way to the screws on the
button the way to take it off is by pushing the lower pin from the left to
the right and the upper pin from the right to the left that way you don’t
have to push it all the way out of the openings the pin can stay in you
just push it past maybe the 16th or 30 seconds of an inch and it will come
right off.

Then take the screws off the top half and when you open it you’ll see
exactly what I’m talking about you can leave then you can leave the steel
pieces inside of the knife if you want, but it will be a much cleaner job
if you take them out if you want to take the bottom piece out that’s the
tricky part because there is little tiny leaf springs underneath that steal
that if you’re not careful with they will pop out and you’ll never find
them again I’ve done that myself and I actually had to make pieces for it
because Benchmade does not sell internal parts for knives.

Anyhow what you polish those two pieces up and the part on the blade that
actually makes contact with the housing of the knife and the steel it’ll be
a smooth as glass

I love collecting knives and the laws here in Vegas are pretty laid back so its pretty great.more into outdoor survival knives and fixed blade survival knives tho

Got any Spartan blades?

I do not.I mainly have Ontario,ESSE,a few wsk style knives things of that nature

Ontario is cool so is ESSE. Don’t know wsk.

Sorry lol WSK is a style of knife not a brand I wasn’t clear I apologize.have you seen the movie the hunted with tommy Lee Jones and benicio Del toro? Its the style of knife that benicio Del toros character carries in the movie.these knives are usually custom the most famous maker being the creator of the style Mr David beck.it is sometimes also known as a tracker knife

I miss my infidel soooooo much. So called friend of mine stole it out of my tool box.

That sucks but I feel your pain.my collection of high end knives and firearms have slowly dwindled to a fraction of what I use to have a few years ago due to hard times and so called friends stealing stuff
