Baron Review?

Anyone use these and if so, how were they? Are they a soft or hard rubber?

Very interested to try these out.

They are a hard rubber. And leave a lot of lines on the glass. One of the worst rubbers I have ever used. I have tried them a few times over the years. Waste of money

That’s a strong review. I am curious to see and use my free sample

How disappointing. It seems that some of the coolest concepts have been wasted by poor execution. Here’s hoping that they don’t have a patent on the whole idea of 4 sided rubber, and some other manufacturer decides to pick it up.

I have seen and used the 4 sided rubber before, however i don’t think it was produced by baron. I have used it in a Eureka
Quad Pro Squeegee, it is designed different than a sorbo type channel, i found it fine to use, not as good as a sorbo but it wasn’t bad.
The problem i found was that, at the time the supervisor of the company who gave me the squeegee never bought any replacement rubbers for them. Just assumed the sorbo rubbers would work in it, this was not the case. The rubbers also did not work well in sorbo channels as they did not sit right and the rubber seemed to fold to far thus leaving a path of streaking. I could not imagine them fitting into a brass type channel at all.

Chris Alex can we confirm whether the rubber you brought in is Hard or Soft?

Nothing indicates that it is hard or soft.

Samples shipping today and we are all looking forward to the results.

Ok so I got my sample and used it for the day.

It fits great in the channel does not disrupt the clips (yes it’s a sorbo channel and you can throw stones later). Overall I think it is a great rubber and have no issues. I have worked with it for one day but I will be buying a dozen and give them to the guys and that will be the best test.

So far I am impressed

I’ve been using mine for 2 days now. Its working great.

Same here. No worries. Good Rubbers. Pleasantly surprised, I thought they would give out quickly but they havent yet.

I finally had a chance to use the Baron rubber on a big volunteer job. More windows than I ever clean in a day. I was actually pleasantly surprised at it’s performance. I cleaned large commercial and was able to swirl with it. I am a straight puller 99% of the time so the fact that I was able to swirl with it was pretty impressive at 22". Held up just as good as the Sorbo rubber I use in the 22". I only used one of the four sides and it preformed really well. When my Sorbo supply runs out I will buy the Baron rubber.

Samples? I saw them in the catalog, sounds likes a genius idea… After reading these reviews not so into it now

This rubber is now are 2nd best selling rubber.

Are there any specific channel they work best in? Right now I’m doing a lot of store fronts and using the Unger Ninjas all day long

Slayer pickle vader and sorbo

Literally just ordered 5 dozen. I still am not through with my original stash of Sorbo rubbers but it never hurts to have enough.

4 sides, brilliant idea. And a price compatible to regular 2 sides rubbers. I could go back to wide channels just for these reasons. I’m glad I didn’t throw out my old Sorbo’s.

Now if they’re were a zero degree and wagtail wide channel, I’d be set.

Thanks for sharing, Randy. Seems like a real money saver getting twice the use out of the rubber. Can you put it in the second slot?

Anyone else switched over to the 4-sided rubber?
