It depends on your supplier and where you are obviously, but I’m paying $30/month for a di and a carbon filter tanks through culligan with that carbon tank on there I get almost a year out of the tank.

I just got a quote from local Culligan last month and its like $15 a month for the rental tank and like $90 for each refill. It’s a 1.5 Cft and you don’t have to deal with the refill process

I just don’t think the refill process is that bad. That’s why I bought half cubes. Dump it out right into a 5 gallon bucket through the bucket right into your neighbors yard done.
Jk!!!
I don’t know something about owning To me . I also like the idea of having a spare tank on board so if your on a job TDS starts to creep switch , an change at your convenience. I don’t have the spare yet. It’s on the list
I don’t know all the answers just trying to figure it out.

Agree , changing the resin in a half tank easy as pie. Changing the resin in a 1.5 cube , I’ll pass.
I’m also trying to get another 1/2 cube and use them together . I used a half cube really fast , and I need it to last longer

… I rented a 1.5 for years, 27/month and 80 to exchange but it was 2 hours away (Culligan doesn’t do it here).
Then I wasn’t using it a lot. When I started using it regularly I bought a 1/2 cube and keep resin on hand. Takes 10 minutes to change out the resin.
Culligan will come to me and exchange my tank at no extra cost… They bring me a new one and take my old one! Hell they even take it out of my truck and load me a new one!! No brainer for me…
Carbon / Sediment $125
(once a year)
RO unit $700
(3 years then a $199 cleaning )
DI $125
(2x A year)
We go through over 75,000 gallons a year of pure water made on the spot, no tanks
Those are impressive numbers, and I would like to be at that point, but I am new to WFP. I am trying to figure this out and see what I need and don’t need. So renting for 6 months to a year to hone my skills, likes, dislikes, wants, don’t wants, and needs.

I called Culligan, I been approved after they checked my credit for a rental; which I thought was a weird reason to run my credit, but whatever.
I am looking at $120 per month for a complete set up.
88 Gallon Storage Tank to mount in the van L250 RO Membrane , #1 and #4 1cu.ft DI tank combo. (Whatever that means)
Am I getting ripped? I am on my way to pick up the equipment in 20 minutes so let me know quick!
I accidentally bought a Ion Grafter 24’ Pole the other day. I was just trying to calculate shipping on JC Racenstein site. It didn’t work but I made note on order, “just trying to calculate shipping” and sure enough it was on my doorstep two days later.
I took it as a sign from God. He obviously likes me, and wants me to be using the WFP. Just saying.
Anyway, I guess if I am over killing it, let me know.
Oh…
What else do I need?
TDS Meter
12v 1 liter per minute pump
Anything else?
Does the distance and elevation of windows matter for pump size or speed? What should I do there?
So… I have RO Membrane, RO something else, Charcoal filter and two DI tanks. The tank they were talking about was residential, so that kind of screwed me. Here are some pics, I JUST got back from picking it up.
I honestly have not one single clue on how to set this bad boy up.
The DI tanks are too tall for the 05 Dodge Grand Caravan I bought for this venture. There are some cargo hooks on the floor board so if I can get that tank in the right spot, I can strap it to the floorboard of the vehicle. Because it will never hold more than 50 gallons on any given day, it will be less weight than my two teenage boys. I did upgrade the shocks anyway, but you never know.
What do you think? Can I make this tank work in this vehicle?
The original idea was to hook up at the house. Fill the tank and go on for the day with a cart as back up. That way I can just run a 12V pump from the tank in the van to the pole without issue. Make sense?
Should I go another route? Or should I buy the portable tank I wanted in the first place and use the customers water supply with dual DI tanks until I can get a new portable container?
Should I just set up a cart using a 5 Gallon Container with pump and leave the RO DI system mounted in the vehicle?
I want to start using this bad boy TODAY!
So what would you do?
Also, Now that I have this stuff.
I have NO CLUE how to set it up. Please feel free to chime in if you are at home on a Friday night and want to help a brother out. I promise to buy a round at the convention. Whether it’s a round of soda, coffee, beer, or whatever… I don’t care.
Honestly what I would do with that is take that reservoir tank thing back. And buy u whatever size u think u need chemical tank from like a tractor supply or wherever u can get it cheapest. And set up your system in that garage there. And when ever u come home at night just filler up.
U don’t know how nice it is to pull up to a job grab your hose stretch it out hook up your pole and away u go.

Well for hoses I would recommend the large cox real with the 300 ft Goodyear hose. It’s such a good hose for dragging around houses. U don’t have to be gentle with it. U can just drag away. You will need connections to hook your pole hose to your main hose from your tank. I like to have a shut off valve at that point. So I can turn it off and be able to just drag hose without worrying about my pole. If that makes since.

I have a 250 gal poly water tank that I keep in the back of my truck for my regular route customers. I have a spare 500 gal poly tank I leave mostly at home for water trees and livestock. I bought these at Tractor Supply. They have all sizes, some even have pumps. I don’t have a WFP set up, but want to get one ASAP.
I like the idea of filling the tanks at home with purified water and going to the jobs and getting right to work!
Right now the tank is for filling my bucket doing traditional window cleaning.
Tomorrow I’ll look at the pumps to see if there would be a way to hook it up to a wfp.
I’m getting excited!!
