Hey joe nothing wrong with that basically 2 pulls an your done. I’ve done it that way many of times, but without a wagtail. The wagtail is a perfect tool for lowers.
Like I said earlier ther is no need to really cut a channel down if there are a lot of panes the same size them ya why not cut a channel down , but to me it’s optional.
Why did you drop to your knees for the final two. No big deal just curious.
Probably, I think that is what Majestic 66 was getting at. I just use the wagtail because I like it. I have never really gotten a swivel handle to work well for me, but I haven’t given it much of a chance.
Joe
Yea I hear ya. You have to do what works for you. I used to do some stores that were 40-50 low windows like that. And I don’t want to bend down for all those. I’m way to fat for that.
Joe
Unless your telling me you strengthen your core muscles on a daily basis, then if not your putting unnecessary fatigue on your back
I’ve been in shape ( 3-5 in gym) while cleansing Windows , and still used a stick for lowers
I’ve thrown out my back while I was in the best shape of my life … the back is nothing to take lightly.
I’m telling ya I’ve broke legs ,Ribs , arms , nose , shoulder dislocated 9 times . When I threw out my back the worst pain out of all of that
Maybe except the first time i dislocated my shoulder that was excruciating
Btw you looked like s professional to me doing those lows . Don’t think bending over was any faster , any better, an the same results
Got 20 years in doing this so I think my opinion should count
Hey Luke: I like your style. Thanks for putting up the video. I’m almost 65 and that’s how I do it, no problems.
(No fancy wagtail work for me up top though)
All the talk of bad backs, knees, shoulders, etc…made me remember my annual New Year’s Resolution to get in better physical condition. Planks and burpees are two miserable forms of self-torture / exercise.
I scrub a lot of lowers (road salt in winter), so I just drop a knee, but as a ski and climbing coach, have blown out both ACL’s and a tib/fib fracture; meniscus, and dislocation issues (multiple surgeries). I just make it work. I’ll have some kid doing lowers next year is my mind-set. No big work related issues so far. Stretch, and do your deadlifts and squats.
