Meh…
weird…we scheduled 3 homes today in “working class” neighborhoods.
Hah
Thinking people with nice houses/ cars are rich is a huge misconception…
you never know whose got money and who dosent…
True…
Some of my best customers, you wouldn’t expect them to have alot of money.
Some of the people that have alot of money have it for one reason, they don’t like to spend it.
I’m happy to hear that the ones charging more money are getting work. It shows you people aren’t just looking for low price.
+1
I think Don also needs to up the image a little… after I saw his homemade wfp set-up. Might be worth him charging some more so he could get some new equipment.
Where is Don from? certainly not NY. at those prices. The majority of window cleaning i do is for the working class people. People who care about there home will pay for our service.
Don lives in Gainesville, Fl
I like Don he is right on. They are buying just less. New customers are being created three fold as well.
Ron Musgraves text me for questions 480-522-5227 Pressure Washing Institute
Thanks. Just curious. Crazy how price differs from state to state. Or it could be that I live in the most expensive and highly overpriced place one can live. The cost of living here is driving people away like the Black plague.
Don is an old school guy and just can’t bring himself to charge what he is worth. He has great skills (just watch his videos) and seems to love what he does though.
He looks like a good guy. I watched alot of his video’s {and learned from them} when I started out on this venture. he is kinda like a W.C. guru
Before I found the WCR, I used to watch some of his video’s on YouTube. I used to agree with a lot of the things he would say back then, but I think I’d agree with much less now. Not his window washing skills mind you, cause like Tony mentioned, he’s good at getting glass clean. But Tony nails it here about not charging what Don’s probably worth. Maybe it’s just me, but Don almost comes across as “Hey, it’s just window cleaning, it shouldn’t cost that much.” I would never be upset or discouraged if I found out new or existing competitors of mine were having success charging almost double what I was charging. Well, maybe mad at myself for being so cheap!
I remember one video he openly, almost proudly, talks about not having insurance. His rational was simple: I don’t use ladder’s so why do I need insurance? Maybe he’s changed that now, but I don’t know…however, that could also be why he is charging half the price as other companies.
That’s the conclusion I came to about him. Good window cleaner, not so good at business. One video shows him saying how he put a higher priced window cleaner out of business, now he wants those higher prices.
Don apparently didn’t win mayorship of Gainesville. Did Tom Petty run?
Don, with your experience and if you do have insurance and workmen’s comp. when employing someone, you deserve whatever you can get. And apparently it’s a lot more. This is a luxury you are providing, not milk delivery. I made the same mistake of charging what I thought was ok until late 2008 when my eyes were opened.
Seems like a better window cleaner than business man…
I also live in Gainesville, FL most my work is commercial though, and we do most all the glass cleaning for UF. My price for a house is normally around $8 a window. Don I think charges $4-5 dollars a window from what he has said on one of his videos.
I could only do about 1:30. The violent swaying made me nauseous.
Don’s Awesome.
