Fall flyer

I do window cleaning I do not make flyers. This is my first attempt and I need some constructive criticism. Have at it!

I’m no expert either, but it looks like alot of thought went into it, and you did what has been drilled on here. I thought the “Fall” offer was good. I saw you put your logo small and on the bottom left, the words Free stood out really well too, and that was the first thing I saw not the top of the flier. Was that what you were going for? It made me read the top thats for sure.

I would like to hear what Kevin and Paul say…well, Paul’s alittle scarey…but good critisizm nontheless.

I like it.

I’m not going to rip it apart like I was wanting to do earlier. But I will just say that I think your name should go up top, centered across the page more. Fall special should go beneath that. I’m not crazy about the cutsie phrase beneath Fall Special. Is that gutter cleaning the same for a 1000sq ft, as opposed to a 1500 or 2000sq ft house? Maybe change up the wording a little. And change the font on the smaller print. And make it stand out more. Also, if your going to use a graphic with print on it, (100% Guarantee) you need to wrap it around so it looks like it belongs. And use your colored rectangle box and line art on the left more creatively.

I know this is a first draft. And it will probably take you 20 more to get it right. But at least you have something to work with. So go from there.

I think the Guru would disagree

I am no guru, but all the gurus say to never do it. We love our
company name so it’s natural to shout it out loud.

Sadly, nobody else gives a sh-t

We only have a couple seconds to get peoples attention, use
it wisely.

I have several customers that I’ve serviced at least 4 or 5 times already in 3 years and they still don’t remember my company name…but they remember me and my service.

Sorry, I don’t have a program that opens your file. :frowning:

Its in publisher.

Well it proves I was listening
Perhaps I should have put Gurus in plural

I’m on a mac. I can view just about everything else…but no publisher.

Same here…

Just checked to see if there was a converter program but there isnt. He would have to make it into a PDF file for ya.

Mac. Those are pretty cool huh?!

most of the time.

In the hopes of encouraging you on your flyer:
The first several seconds is what you want people to remember.
You want to communicate: Who you are, What you do and if they are interested where is the phone number. I had to search for your biz. name and phone number.
The fall leaves are cutesy but the rest of the flyer is not used. Perhaps a flyer that is orange/brown or printed fall leaves then your printed info layouts on top of it.
The term “Standard” really doesn’t say much. Do you have an “Ultimate” alternative? State that your screens are throughly cleaned and conditioned (if you have a process to get them this way) This sets you apart from ALL the other companies. I try to remember to always sale myself as the trendsetter and that I set the goal of excellence in my services. Try to convey that, not “standard”. 100% guarantee? what are you guaranteeing? your going to show up, cash their check. Most likely it is satisfaction guaranteed. (I think it is a waste of space). You flyer should speak “PROFESSIONALISM"
I personally will never put my prices on a flyer. $199 for 20 windows. That’s $10 per set. Is that really a FALL SPECIAL? What are your prices normally? Do you accept credit cards? a member of the BBB or a city governing body? Are you insured, bonded? How long have you been in the business of w/cing? These are some questions I would ask myself as a client looking for a service company.
I do run a 1” x 5" ad in a local weekly paper on occassion. On the bottom of the ad I put a $20 off first time customer discount for a complete interior/exterior & screen cleaning service. I am not a fan of off-seasonal discounts. Then they will want the discount all the time.
Hope this is somewhat helpful and something to glean from.
Best to you and your biz.

How about now?

Sorry, I’ve got a brand new windows 7 computer and can’t open it…

Can you convert it to .jpg or .pdf?

Everyone should be able to open it now. Sorry.

Interesting ad Dejay. I would change the title line from “the leaves are falling and so are the prices” to “as the leaves fall the savings increase”. I think it seems less like you are having a clearance special on your services and more like they are getting a perk for going w/ your company.

The company name is Simply Glass. Then underneath it reads…Window Cleaning. What’s not to remember in that? I’m sorry I still dissagree with you. Name first. Mission second. Look in any newspaper, or magazine.

You lucky son of a B… I want windows 7. ;-)~ Btw. It is in .jpg format. If you need any other format, or program, just get in touch with me, and I’ll tell ya how to get it.
